Last March 27, iEmergence Philippines proudly hosted the Her Story, Her Ground photo exhibit and Pakighinabi to culminate Women’s Month, in collaboration with the Commission on Human Rights, Region XI, the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples XI, and Holy Cross of Davao College (Bachelor of Social Work Program, Bachelor of Arts Program, Office of Student Affairs, and Supreme Student Government).

We are grateful for the overwhelming response! Let’s continue creating spaces where women are not only remembered for their struggles but celebrated for their strength and contributions. Stories shared in courage become seeds of transformation—and that is where hope begins.

Visit the Her Story, Her Ground exhibit at Holy Cross of Davao College until March 31. Stay tuned for updates on where it will be installed next. Come and experience powerful stories of courage and resilience from women across diverse communities!

Last Sunday was a celebration highlighting local Indigenous artists at one of Davao City's beloved farm resorts!

Together with GAP Farming Resort through Ms. Leny Castillo, we are grateful to be part of an initiative built on the shared commitment to offer spaces that honor and celebrate artists such as Anak Tu Manama Artists and Joshua Mundo. This event also supports the Indigenous Students Educational Program (ISEP) of iEmergence, Inc.

We hope that through platforms like these, we can continue cultivating spaces for learning and cultural appreciation. With your support, it helps us continue building pathways towards a better future.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

LOOK | This Women’s Month, let us recognize the women in iEmergence, Inc. who build pathways for a better future:

From the passion and talent of Agos and Maxine in amplifying stories from the ground as our creative volunteers,

To the dedication of Faith as our Admin & Finance who ensures accountability and sustainability,

To the coordination and heart of Clar in her role in managing iEmergence-Initiated Programs,

And to Kharla's commitment in walking alongside Indigenous communities and steering the team into meaningful direction as our Executive Director,

Often behind the scenes, these women's contributions leave a lasting impact on the communities we journey with. Let us continue to honor the strength, wisdom, and commitment of women who make this possible.

Happy National Women's Month!

LOOK | This Women’s Month, with the theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society”, let us continue celebrating women’s role and contribution towards building a better future, recognizing and respecting their strength in leading like babaylans within communities, institutions, and various sectors.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Swito Designs through Ar. Gloryrose Dy-Metilla, as we build on our shared mission to journey alongside Indigenous communities.

In an insightful conversation last week, Ar. Rose, Principal Architect of Swito Designs, and Kharla Acosta, Executive Director of iEmergence, Inc., expressed their perspectives on highlighting how women navigate their leadership through different challenges, and how womanhood is an intersectionality of one’s many roles as a leader, parent, friend, partner, and daughter.

We invite you to look forward to an upcoming collaboration between iEmergence, Inc. and Swito Designs that combines design, heritage, and community-driven impact.

Stay tuned as we share more about this meaningful project.

Last Saturday was a night of celebration, community, and creativity during the Indigenous Music and Arts Camp (IMAC)!

Indigenous artists from various communities, including the Ata, Ovu-Manobo, Bagobo-Klata, and Matigsalug, came together to share their stories through music. Each performance from the Kollina Kolliga Tribal Ensemble, Joshua Mundo, Pegsabeka Band, Edrielle Abayan, and Anak Tu Manama Artists were reminders of how crucial it is to honor community-based artists by reclaiming more of these spaces.

Surrounded by the smiles and laughter from the crowd, we are grateful for the opportunity to witness art as a living expression of shared stories and hope. Through our partnership with Pegsabeka, the event became a platform to showcase how Indigenous artistry continues to shape community and identity.

Thank you to everyone who joined, supported, and celebrated with us for a wonderful evening!

Pitow ka | Maroyow no Aldow!

With your support, you are directly sustaining iEmergence programs that nurture youth leadership within communities. Every contribution ensures that these safe spaces continue to thrive.
