🎀 United for Awareness. United for Hope. United in Service!

Today, the Rotary Clubs of Area 2 unite in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, promoting early detection, raising awareness, and inspiring hope.

Through free breast cancer screenings, an informative awareness forum, and the inspiring Pink Runway, we celebrated the strength and resilience of survivors and stood in solidarity with everyone affected by breast cancer.

As Rotarians, we believe that awareness saves lives and that collective action creates meaningful change.

The Rotary Club of Central Davao held its 6th Regular Meeting at Harana, F. Torres, Davao City, bringing members together for fellowship, learning, and meaningful conversations. We were honored to welcome Engr. Liza Mae C. Villora, Chief of the Ambient Monitoring and Technical Services Section, who shared valuable insights about the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), including air quality, waste management, and environmental protection.

The club also warmly welcomed back PP Tadashi Kanda and Spouse Maychelle Kanda from Japan. Their presence added to the spirit of fellowship as we continue to strengthen our bonds and live out Service Above Self in our commitment to Create Lasting Impact. 💙💛

The Rotary Club of Central Davao proudly joined the Pink October 2026: Pink Walk on October 5, 2026, led by the Rotary Club of Downtown Davao, from Freedom Park to Rizal Park, Davao City. Together with the Rotary Clubs of Area 2ABC, government agencies, and partner organizations, we walked in unity to raise awareness, promote early detection, and stand in support of women and families affected by breast cancer.

💙 SEPTEMBER TO REMEMBER 💙

Last September 23, the Rotary Club of Central Davao commenced its feeding program at Tamugan Elementary School, in partnership with A.N. Escalante Construction, Incorporated, through the generosity of Past President Arthur Escalante.

🍽️ 25 students, from Kindergarten to Grade 6, will benefit from this program and receive meals every Monday to Friday.

This initiative is more than just providing a meal. It is about nurturing children, supporting their well-being, and creating opportunities for them to learn, grow, and dream.

True to this year’s Rotary message, “Create Lasting Impact,” we continue to turn service into meaningful and sustainable action—one child, one meal, and one community at a time. 💙

What a meaningful way to end the month. September to Remember, indeed!

Empowering the Next Generation Through Technology 💻✨

The Rotary Club of Central Davao, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Manila Bay, successfully turned over computer and printer units to Dominga National High School in Calinan last September 18, 2026.

This school was selected as the beneficiary community by our very own Voice of the Youth 2026 National Champion, Clifford Danduan. Through this turnover, a total of 122 students from Grades 7 to 9 will gain essential access to technology, digital tools, and improved learning opportunities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this meaningful project a reality.

This project marks a fantastic last hurrah for Rotary Year Unite for Good, spearheaded by Past President Jude Pama.
