On October 9, 2026, Davao City Youth for Green Environment, Inc. (DCYGE) joined the signing of the Multipartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Collaborative Youth Action on Population, Nutrition, and Environmental Sustainability during the Regional Nutrition Awards Ceremony at The Royal Mandaya Hotel, Davao City.

The partnership brings together government agencies, educational institutions, and youth organizations, including the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) Region XI, Department of Education (DepEd) XI – Schools Division of Davao City, National Nutrition Council (NNC) Region XI, and Davao Central College

Beyond the ceremonial signing, the MOU establishes a framework for sustained institutional cooperation through joint planning, technical assistance, resource sharing, monitoring, and knowledge exchange among partner organizations. These collaborative efforts aim to strengthen youth-led initiatives that integrate population concerns, nutrition, environmental stewardship, and climate resilience.

DCYGE also extends its warmest congratulations to Sir Russell Bonn V. Noval, Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), for being awarded Nutrition Advocate of the Year. This recognition celebrates his commitment to nutrition advocacy and community well-being, reflecting the importance of youth leadership in advancing sustainable development.

DCYGE expresses its appreciation to all partner institutions for their shared commitment to meaningful collaboration and youth empowerment. On October 8, 2026, Davao City Youth for Green Environment (DCYGE) attended the ceremonial launch of the Community Nutrition Services National Certificate II (NC II) in Maco, Davao de Oro.

The event highlighted the importance of strengthening community nutrition services and equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to promote proper nutrition and public health. It also emphasized the value of collaboration in building healthier and more sustainable communities.

Beyond the ceremonial launch, the Community Nutrition Services NC II marks a step toward strengthening community-based nutrition initiatives, developing essential competencies, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. Through continued capacity-building and shared efforts, the initiative aims to support the delivery of nutrition services and promote healthier, more sustainable communities.

Davao City Youth for Green Environment (DCYGE) conducted a courtesy visit to Davao Central College for a meeting with its National Service Training Program (NSTP) Head to explore opportunities for a long-term partnership at Saturday, October 10, 2026

The visit served as an opportunity to establish stronger institutional ties and discuss potential collaborative initiatives focused on youth engagement, environmental advocacy, community involvement, and volunteerism.

DCYGE extends its sincere appreciation to Davao Central College and its NSTP Head for the warm welcome and the opportunity to explore future collaboration. We look forward to building a strong and sustainable partnership that advances youth leadership, environmental stewardship, and community development.

Davao City Youth for Green Environment (DCYGE) was invited to DXFE 1197 The Good News Radio to share insights on El Niño, highlighting the organization’s projects, activities, and environmental initiatives aligned with addressing its impacts.

Representing DCYGE in the discussion were Russell Bonn V. Noval, Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer; Aljun Bebero, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer; and Maribella Estoya, Director for Finance and Sponsorship.

The discussion provided an opportunity to amplify the youth’s voice in promoting environmental awareness, responsible resource use, and community preparedness amid climate-related challenges.

Young people may soon have a broader platform to help shape solutions for nutrition, climate change, and environmental sustainability as the Davao City Youth for Green Environment, Inc. (DCYGE) and the National Nutrition Council (NNC) XI explore future collaboration with the Malaysian Consulate General in Davao City.

During a coordination meeting at the Malaysian Consulate Generals' Office, Mr. Russell Bonn V. Noval, DCYGE CEO and Chairperson and an active Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Youth Network representative in Davao Region together with NNC XI Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Retsebeth M. Laquihon and Nutrition Officer II David Ongking, discussed potential areas of partnership with Malaysian Consul General Mr. Deddy Faisal Bin Ahmad Salleh.

Discussions centered on the 2026 EConvention, scheduled for December 7, 2026, a youth-led initiative organized by DCYGE in collaboration with NNC XI, CPD XI, and DENR XI. The event aims to bring together youth leaders and representatives from various sectors and organizations to develop ideas and strengthen advocacy addressing the interconnected challenges of population, nutrition, climate change, and environmental sustainability.

The meeting also explored the possible participation of Malaysian youth organizations to strengthen cross-border learning and position the EConvention as a regional platform for youth-driven policy ideas and collaborative action.

Consul General Salleh also expressed interest in collaborating with NNC XI to promote good nutrition and healthy lifestyles in communities supported by the Malaysian Consulate General in Davao City.

The Davao City Youth for Green Environment (DCYGE) joined the International Coastal Cleanup 2026, conducted by SM Cares, on September 19, 2026, at Seaside 2, Matina Aplaya, Davao City.

Through the hands-on efforts of our volunteers, the activity brought youth and community members together in taking action to help keep our coastlines clean and protect our marine environment.

Beyond collecting waste, the initiative highlighted the importance of youth volunteerism, environmental responsibility, and collective action. Every helping hand contributed to a cleaner coastline and strengthened the call for communities to take an active role in protecting our environment.

DCYGE extends its sincere appreciation to SM Cares for hosting this meaningful initiative and to all volunteers and partners who came together to make the activity a success.

The Davao City Youth for Green Environment, Inc. (DCYGE Inc.), together with its partner government agencies and organizations, is pleased to announce the official launching of the 2026 Davao ECOnvention during the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Wednesday Media Forum.

The 2026 Davao ECOnvention is a collaborative youth-centered initiative anchored on the interconnected priorities of Population, Nutrition, and the Planet, promoting meaningful youth participation in sustainable development, environmental stewardship, health and nutrition, and responsible citizenship.

The launching will formally present the objectives, direction, and major components of the ECOnvention 2026, while highlighting the commitment of participating institutions to strengthen collaboration and provide young people with opportunities to actively contribute to building a healthy, sustainable, inclusive, and resilient Davao.
