This World Environment Day, we are reminded that environmental issues are no longer distant headlines—they are realities unfolding in our communities. From stronger storms and extreme heat to pollution, biodiversity loss, and growing waste management challenges, the signals are clear: the environment is responding to the choices we make today. While governments, institutions, and organizations all have important roles to play, meaningful change also begins with us. Every tree protected, every piece of waste properly managed, every resource used responsibly, and every conversation that inspires action contributes to a healthier future. Let us move beyond awareness and into action, recognizing that environmental stewardship is not a once-a-year commitment but a daily responsibility. The future we hope to inherit is shaped by the actions we choose to take now—for our communities, for future generations, and for the only planet we call home.

The success of SH-EO was made possible by a carefully curated lineup of women who represent different facets of the entrepreneurial journey. From building purpose-driven brands and scaling businesses to streamlining operations and unlocking opportunities through government support, each speaker was chosen to provide participants with practical, real-world insights that go beyond theory.

Through the experiences of Katriana Batu, Joanna Noriel Edera, Ingrid P. Puentespina, and Erica Anne Dulay, our participants gained a holistic perspective on entrepreneurship—what it takes to start, sustain, grow, and navigate a business in today’s evolving landscape. Their diverse expertise ensured that every aspiring entrepreneur, student, and business-minded individual could find lessons relevant to their own journey.

🚀 Happening Now: SH-EO (She-EO) — Masterclass on Entrepreneurship for Women

Today, aspiring entrepreneurs, students, and future business leaders are coming together for an empowering day of learning, mentorship, and inspiration through JCI Lakambini Davao’s flagship entrepreneurship initiative, SH-EO, co-hosted by JJC University of Southeastern Philippines.

As young leaders and students, we often dream of creating solutions, launching ventures, and making an impact in our communities. Through programs like SH-EO, those aspirations are transformed into actionable plans and entrepreneurial confidence; and SH-EO serves as a bridge between academic learning and real-world business application.

For our JJC members, this is a valuable opportunity to gain practical insights from experienced entrepreneurs, explore business planning and branding strategies, understand available support systems for MSMEs, and build meaningful connections with mentors and fellow innovators.

We are grateful to our powerhouse speakers, partners, and participants for investing their time and passion in cultivating the next generation of women entrepreneurs and changemakers.
