On June 18, 2026, the Missionaries of the Assumption PAGLAUM Philanthropic Development Office (m.a. PAGLAUM-PDO), through DUYOG, conducted its Solidarity Relief Mission for 1,000 families affected by the recent earthquake in Malapatan, Sarangani.
In partnership with the Municipal Incident Command Post, our 50-member volunteer team was deployed to various evacuation centers, providing relief assistance and Psychosocial Intervention (PSI) activities for women, children, and youth.
Each family received:
โข 5 kg rice
โข ยฝ kg monggo beans
โข ยผ kg salt
โข ยผ kg sugar
โข 1 family-sized tent (trapal)
โข 5 liters purified water
โข 1 family-sized sleeping mat (banig)
The beneficiaries included Christian, Muslim, and Bโlaan families affected by the disaster.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our volunteers from Assumption College of Davao (ACD), Assumption Polytechnic College of Southern Mindanao (APCSM), the Sisters of the Missionaries of the Assumption, and our mission partners for their dedication and service.
Special thanks to Assisi Development Foundation for funding the relief goods, and to all individuals and donors whose generosity helped cover transportation, logistics, volunteer meals, and supplies for the Psychosocial Intervention activities.
