Kalayag VolunTourism

Kalayag VolunTourism KALAYAG is a non-profit, non-government organization helping underprivileged children and youth in rural and urban communities.

“Kalayag” is a Matigsalug word that translates to “shining” which denotes providing “light, prosperity, hope and life.” It is the root word for “kalayahan” which means ‘prosperity in body, soul and spirit.’ This holistic view of man is comparable to the biblical concept of the holy trinity (Father, Son and the Holy Spirit) which is also synonymous to the creation of man having a body, a soul and a

spirit which directs his physical, emotional and spiritual condition. Kalayag true to its meaning envisioned to address the physical, emotional (social) and spiritual well-beings of children and youth particularly those situated in isolated and impoverished communities both in rural and urban areas.
