They came from different places—Panabo, Mintal, Downtown, and Bansalan—but they all shared the same goal: to reach the peak of Mt. Apo.
It was a truly wonderful experience last weekend, May 31, 2026, because every single one of us made it to the top! We started our trek early at 11:30 PM. Moving in batches—from the lead pack to the sweepers—we all reached Digos Peak at different times. The wind up there was incredibly strong, which unfortunately prevented us from proceeding to the other peaks. Nonetheless, despite the challenges, everyone was happy, safe, and deeply satisfied.
As Haring Apo closes from June 1 until August 31 for its annual break, let this be a gentle reminder that just like the mountain, we humans also need rest to recover and rehabilitate.
To Kagidlay led by Alliah Huerbana, thank you for the referral and for trusting us to guide six of your additional guests. To Joel from the local guide of Sitio Culan, my co-guide, my salute to you, brother!
I can honestly say that while the weather conditions didn't make it the easiest climb, the pure fun, laughter, and presence of these thirteen amazing guests made it one of the absolute best. Your choice to climb with us matters the most.
Kudos to everyone!💪🙏🫡
To God all the glory!🙌
