The final day of the In-House Training brought the training experience to its application stage. With the lessons and skills gained from the previous days, volunteers were given the chance to take what they learned and use it through practical activities and simulations.
The afternoon started with an exercise session, preparing everyone for the activities that followed and keeping the energy up throughout the final day of training.
The training proper then continued with Splinting, adding another useful skill to the different first aid and response skills learned during the training. Members were able to learn more about how splinting can be used when assisting a person with an injury.
The highlight of the day came during the Application Part, where the lessons moved beyond discussion and practice.
Members took part in Rapid Extrication, putting their skills into action through a simulated situation that required proper response and teamwork.
This was followed by the Simulation Exercise Mass Casualty Incident (SIMEX), where the skills learned throughout the three-day training were brought together in one larger simulation.
From First Aid and Bandaging to Moving and Lifting or Patient Transport, Basic Life Support, Pre-Hospital Patient Care Report (PPCR), and Splinting, the previous lessons became part of the application activities.
These simulations allowed members to experience how different skills can work together when responding to situations where help is needed.
To close the final day, an evaluation was conducted by our Adviser, Reymundo E. Ocenar, giving members time to reflect on their performance, participation, and overall experience throughout the training.
The final day also included the presence of the National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC). Their presence highlighted how working together can bring different groups closer through a shared goal of learning, preparedness, and service.
Their participation were sincerely appreciated and recognized by the current CRCY Officers alongside with the CRCY’s Adviser, Reymundo E. Ocenar

Three days of training brought us through different lessons, skills, and activities. What started with learning the basics eventually led to putting those skills into practice.
The final day reminded us that learning a skill is only the first step. Practice helps us become familiar with it, while application helps us understand how it can be used when it matters.
As the three-day In-House Training comes to an end, the lessons, experiences, and skills gained will continue to be part of our journey as volunteers.
So, as we close this chapter, let us not say goodbye to the lessons.
Let us take them with us.
𝑼𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒕 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈.
𝑼𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒕 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆.
𝑼𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒕 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆.
Three days may be over, but the journey to be ready never truly ends.
And now, the question is no longer just, “𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚍𝚒𝚍 𝚠𝚎 𝚕𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚗?”
It is: “𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚠𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚠𝚎 𝚍𝚘 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚠𝚎 𝚕𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚗𝚎𝚍?”
