Sim-Carrd SIMCARRD Inc. It works closely with community-based NGOs and POs, promotes partnership with LGUs, and help strengthen local alliances and networks.

is a Mindanao-wide NGO network based in Davao City implementing programs on participatory governance, asset reform, sustainable agriculture, social enterprise, and peace-building. It facilitates the empowerment of local communities through organizing, mobilization, claim-making and policy engagements. It contributes to policy discourses through action research and model-building strategies. SIMCAR

RD believes in active citizenship and supports reforms that would enhance citizens voice in decision-making.

In his video message, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, Chairperson of the Committee on Agriculture, Food, and Agrarian Reform, emphasized the importance of empowering women and strengthening communities in building sustainable agri-fishery enterprises for a just economy at the Social Enterprise Trade Fair & Conference Workshop, August 28โ€“29, 2025 at the Waterfront Hotel, Davao City.

Over two days, women leaders, youth, social entrepreneurs, policy champions, and partners convened in Davao City to amplify womenโ€™s economic empowerment and strengthen agri-fishery value chains across BaSulTa and beyond. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our resource persons from Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform, BARMM, makesense, Foundation for a Sustainable Society, Inc. - FSSI and Villgro Philippines for sharing their invaluable insights and strengthening the ecosystem for women-led social enterprises.

We also celebrate the strong policy commitment of Senator Kiko Pangilinan, Senator Risa Hontiveros, and Akbayan Rep. Perci Cendaรฑa in championing the PRESENT Bill โ€” a step forward in institutionalizing support for social enterprises that empower women, foster inclusion, and drive a just economy.

๐™๐š๐ฆ๐›๐จ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐‰๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“ | Women Social Enterprise groups from Sulu received modern coffee processing equipment at a turnover ceremony held in Zamboanga City as part of the EUโ€‘BAEP WEEโ€‘SAFE Project. The event was led by SIMCARRD Executive Director Larry Lapidez and Project Manager Tom Villarin, alongside women leaders Barhaya M. Bangalan, Dermalyn J. Lagay, Dalna A. Akili, and Farida U. Abdurajik, representing their respective associations. Also in attendance were representatives of implementing partners Oxfam Pilipinas and KMFI.

This initiative aims to enhance livelihoods, promote Sulu Heritage Coffee, and support inclusive agri-enterprise ventures led by women. Funded through the Bangsamoro Agriโ€‘Enterprise Programme by the European Union in the Philippines, the WEEโ€‘SAFE Project is implemented by Oxfam Pilipinas, Oxfam Belgique, SIMCARRD, and KMFI across Basilan, Sulu, and Tawiโ€‘Tawi, advancing economic empowerment for women, youth, and Indigenous Peoples through sustainable social entrepreneurship
