𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | Mapúa Malayan Peer Facilitator’s Club held its first-ever seminar workshop titled “Relationships without Harm: Recognizing Pressure, Respect, and Red Flags” on March 28, 2026, via MS Teams. During the event, Mrs. Bealaura Angela Watanabe, RPm graced the session and shared insights on toxic and healthy relationships, the context of intersectionality, and strategies for navigating toxic relationships.

The seminar was also attended by Mapúans and peer facilitator groups from various schools, including the University of Immaculate Conception (UIC), Assumption College of Davao (ACD), San Pedro College (SPC), and Holy Cross Davao College (HCDC). Open group discussions were also conducted to deepen participants’ understanding of the topic.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the event meaningful! We look forward to continuing these conversations and strengthening a culture of care, respect, and safety in our relationships.

𝙎𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙞𝙮𝙤?

Last March 22, 2026, the Mapúa Malayan Peer Facilitator's Club officers attended SPC Peer Facilitator's Club PUKAW HUNA, a seminar-discussion initiative addressing the psychological and emotional impact of sexually transmitted diseases and infections (STDs/STIs).

The MMPFC officers participated in activities aimed at strengthening efforts to dismantle the stigma surrounding STDs/STIs. They also engaged in project pitching and learned to conduct Psychological First Aid for individuals affected by STDs/STIs under the guidance of our speaker, Mr. Hexcel Andreu Khua, RPm, MPsy, RPsy, together with SPC Organizations, the UM Peer Facilitator's Organization, and the ACD Peer Facilitator's Club.

Our Peer Facis remain committed to continuously learning new ways to support our community and ensure that everyone feels seen, heard, and welcomed.
