The Junior Chamber International (JCI) DuWaling Chapter is an all-female Local Organization of JCI Philippines based in Davao City. JCI Duwaling was founded by four women from Davao back in 2000. Full of zest and enthusiasm and guided by their mission and vision, they eagerly embarked on several projects providing an opportunity for young lady professionals to improve their leadership skills and b
roaden their business acumen. They wanted to take social responsibility taking into consideration their environment and other people and to share in creating a better future for everyone. After some years of being dormant in 2003 when majority of its Board of Directors and members went abroad, JCI DUWALING was revived in 2012, evolving into a high quality, active and appreciated network of female professionals promoting the JCI as a whole. The chapter is merely one year old since its revival but this did not stop the local organization from flying high and achieving great lengths with the guidance of no less than the Charter President, Anna Marie F. During its revival, 25 women from all walks of life in Davao City took their oath as members of JCI, the leading global organization of young active citizens. Under the four Areas of Opportunities of JCI – Motivate, Impact, Invest and Collaborate, DuWaling Chapter ensures projects for each area where the members can work on in order to have opportunities for total development not only for the members but especially for the vulnerable sectors in the society which the chapter advocated – the Women, Youth and Children.
