Sambuokan (n.): derived from the Mandaya word buok, meaning "one" or "unity".

𝗦𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮, 𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻, 𝘂𝗴 𝗴𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻, 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗵𝘂𝗺 𝘀𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗵𝗶𝘂𝘀𝗮.

Rooted in different cultures, stories, and identities, yet connected by a shared sense of belonging. Sambuokan is a step forward for Ateneo Lumad Students Organization, bringing Indigenous students closer together while honoring the roots that make each community unique.

Kadaiya. Kultura. Kahiusa. A renewed identity, carried through woven elements that reflect connection, continuity, and collective strength. What has been built before remains, now taking shape in a way that reflects where Ateneo Lumad Students Organization is headed.

With this new identity, the 𝐀𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐨 𝐋𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 continues to create spaces where cultures meet, stories are shared, and connections grow. From one community to another, from one institution to another, the journey continues toward a stronger and more connected Indigenous student community.

Last Saturday, September 12, 2026, a youth-led dialogue and interfaith prayer for community peacebuilding unfolded, bringing together voices and hearts in a shared hope for a peaceful and successful BARMM Parliamentary Election.

In the spirit of dialogue, solidarity, and interfaith prayer, may the BARMM Parliamentary Election unfold with wisdom, integrity, and peace. May every prayer become a hope for communities united by understanding, respect, and a shared vision for a peaceful future.

🕊️ 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 — 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘦 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙚, 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧

In celebration of the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 and the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲, the Ateneo de Davao University’s Al Qalam Institute for Islamic Identities and Dialogue in Southeast Asia and Arrupe Office of Social Formation through the National Service Training Program (NSTP) collaborate to organize 𝗨𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗣𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗮𝗻: 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩-𝘓𝘦𝘥 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘶𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘗𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘗𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘉𝘈𝘙𝘔𝘔 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘌𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴!
