𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 is the day of our 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝’𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧— the 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 💛

As we mourn the death of our Lord Jesus Christ, may we engage in a 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 as we reflect deeply through faithful prayer, trust in the Lord, and believe in the resurrection

𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 reminds us that death is not the end— it is just the 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 with our Lord Jesus Christ through repentance, faith, and resurrection

𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐃’𝐒 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 ✝️

The day after the last supper, Jesus entered one of the 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞— to experience suffering as he was 𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒅, 𝒄𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒏 𝒂 𝒄𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒔 ❤️‍🩹

The 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝’𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 is a symbol of how Jesus has experienced 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒇𝒇𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 during his life here on earth, just like how we, as human beings that he created, are also capable of facing challenges, difficulties, and the ability to feel emotions and ache 🤲

This significant moment in Christian tradition remembers how Jesus sacrificed, suffered, and died on the cross for our 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧— to save mankind from sins through his 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒚, 𝒅𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 🤍

𝐌𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐃’𝐒 𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐑 🤲

𝐌𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 remembers the night of the last supper, when Jesus gathered with his disciples and washed their feet as a symbol of his love and humility 🤍

As the night continues, he took the bread and broke it, gave it to them as his body, likewise with the wine that he turned into his blood, which will be 𝒑𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒚, 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒔 🫓🍷

𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 also remembers the 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅’𝒔 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓— 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑭𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓, a significant part of our catholic faith that 𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒔, 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 🙏

Our liturgy schedule for the Paschal Triduum is as follows:

April 2 – Holy Thursday, Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 5:00 PM

April 3 – Good Friday, Way of the Cross at 1:00 PM followed by the Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord at 3:00 PM

April 4 – Holy Saturday, Easter Vigil Mass at 8:00 PM

Please note that there will be no 12:00 noon Mass on April 1 (Wednesday of Holy Week) and no 8:00 AM Mass on Easter Sunday. Regular Masses will resume on April 6, Monday.

Today marks the 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝’𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧— a moment in Christian tradition that signifies the beginning of the Holy Week as it celebrates the arrival of Jesus in Jerusalem as the Son of David 🕊️
