EGIPF completes 5-day Biodiversity Assessment in Sitio NamNam! 🌿

Our team recently wrapped up a productive five-day biodiversity assessment in Sitio NamNam, Barangay Marilog, Davao City.

This activity was done together with our interns from the University of Southern Mindanao, giving them the chance to apply what they’ve learned in the field and gain hands-on experience in real conservation work.

The assessment helps us better understand the local ecosystem, identifying species present and guiding us on what to plant and why. This ensures that our reforestation efforts are both informed and sustainable.

We also extend our thanks to the local community, Sir Tolets of Tolets Peak Nursery and Lunaw Dabaw, and Sir Niel Francis Ramil of the DENR for their support and valuable insights throughout the activity.

Together, we continue working toward a greener and more sustainable future for both people and nature. 🌱

🎁 Spreading Dreams Through Gift Giving: School Supplies for Sitio Sicao 🌟

On March 17, 2026, Mutya ng Davao 2024, Hanna Maj Piccio, through her initiative Making New Dreamers (MND), successfully turned over school supplies to the children of the Indigenous Community in Sitio Sicao, Barangay Tamayong, Davao City.

These school supplies were made possible through the proceeds of BayaniRun 2025, organized by IVolunteer Philippines in partnership with EGIP Foundation.

Each gift shared a message of hope, learning, and encouragement, reminding us that “Giving is not just about making a donation, it’s about making a difference.”

Together, we are nurturing dreams and building brighter futures. 🌟

🌱 Growing a Greener Future: Tree Planting at Sitio Nam Nam

On March 3, 2026, the JIB Quest Team proudly took action for the environment through this year’s JIB QUEST Green Activity, planting trees and nurturing a greener future as they continue their meaningful journey to the summit.

A big thank you to Joji Ilagan Career Center Foundation Inc. for leading this initiative and inspiring everyone to take part. A total of 80 native forest and fruit trees were planted 🌳

On March 19, 2026, at Sitio Nam Nam, Barangay Marilog, Marilog District, Davao City, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Lunaw Dabaw, BaiAni Foundation, USM Interns, Mr. Wiebe van Rij, Ms. Nina van Rij, Mr. Guenter Muehlbauer, DCPO Station 12 Marilog, and the local community of Sitio Nam Nam for their invaluable support, dedication, and active participation in this tree planting initiative.

Through our collective efforts, we successfully planted 1,210 native forest and fruit trees, each one a step closer to restoring our forests and protecting biodiversity 🌳
