Together, We Run to End Polio 🧡
Last May 10, 2026, in the quiet freshness of an early morning, before the city fully awakened, something meaningful was already in motion.
The Rotary Club of Downtown Davao, together with partners, friends, families, and supporters, gathered for *“Together We Run to End Polio”—*a community run anchored on one powerful global mission: to finally end polio.
As the first light of dawn broke, so did a shared sense of purpose. The cool morning air carried anticipation, energy, and hope. Runners lined up not as individuals chasing personal records, but as one united community standing for something greater than themselves.
From the starting signal, every step forward became a statement of commitment. Every stride was a reminder that polio remains a challenge we can—and must—finish together. Along the route, encouragement echoed louder than fatigue. Smiles were shared between strangers. Volunteers, Rotarians, and participants moved with a common rhythm: service in motion.
It was more than a run—it was a living reminder of what collective action looks like. Families ran side by side. Young and old shared the same road. Each kilometer covered reflected years of global effort, resilience, and determination to protect future generations from a preventable disease.
And as runners crossed the finish line that morning, there was no sense of ending—only continuation. Because while the run concluded, the mission remains ongoing, sustained by every voice that believes in a polio-free world.
The early morning may have passed, but its message remains clear: when a community moves together, even the hardest battles become possible to win.
One morning. One mission. One world—finally free from polio.
