PNSO Honors PNWC 2025 Volunteers

The Pacific Nursing Service Organization, Inc. (PNSO) recognized the volunteers of the Philippine Nursing World Congress (PNWC) 2025 through an online appreciation program, “Padayon: Honoring the PNWC 2025 Volunteers,” held on 20 December 2025.

The event honored 4 partner schools and 78 individual volunteers whose service and teamwork helped make PNWC 2025 in Davao City (June 25–27) a truly meaningful global gathering of Filipino nurses.

In his opening remarks, PNSO Vice President for Engagement Dennis Amando, MPH, MAN, RN, highlighted the meaning of the theme Padayon—a reminder to keep going, persevere, and continue serving with commitment and heart. His message resonated with volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes with dedication and teamwork.

PNSO President Patria V. Manalaysay, PhD, RN expressed heartfelt appreciation, noting that “your contributions as volunteers became one of the important cornerstones for the success of the activity, making the Congress truly world class,” and encouraged everyone to continue building a strong community of service together.

Sharing a volunteer’s perspective, Ms. Keren Keziah Gerago, a BSN student from Notre Dame of Tacurong College, reflected that the experience “opened doors of opportunities to meet Filipino nursing leaders from around the world,” highlighting how volunteerism also fosters professional growth and meaningful connections.

In closing, PNSO Vice President for Research Elmer Organia, PhD, RN, challenged the volunteers to continue leading, learning, and serving with integrity, underscoring the lasting impact of volunteer service in shaping future nurse leaders.

The program concluded with a renewed call to persevere and serve—capturing the true spirit of Padayon, moving forward together.

Congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉
