The Pacific Nursing Service Organization (PNSO) proudly joined the successful conduct of the Global Filipino Nursing Webinar Series session entitled “Palliative Care in the Filipino Communities: Strengthening Nursing Practice Through Cultural Understanding.”
The webinar brought together around 300 nurses and healthcare professionals from the Philippines, Australia, Kuwait, India, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Botswana, Guyana, Namibia, Kenya, Uganda, and Malawi. The session featured Jon San Martin, RN, BSN, GCAdvNur, MPallCare, whose presentation highlighted the importance of culturally responsive and compassionate palliative care for Filipino patients and families.
The event opened with a welcome message from Dr. Patria Manalaysay, President of PNSO, and concluded with inspiring closing remarks from Dr. Violeta Lopez, President Emeritus of the Filipino Nursing Diaspora Network.
Moderated by Dennis Amando, Vice President for Engagement of PNSO, the webinar saw strong engagement and meaningful discussion during the Q&A portion.
This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of PNSO, FIND, World Continuing Education Alliance (WCEA), and Saint Anthony’s College – Antique, reflecting the growing global collaboration among Filipino nurses committed to advancing professional practice and compassionate care.
