Happening Now| CSASHS School Nurse Conducts Food Safety Orientation for Canteen Personnel

As the new school year begins, Belle Hyacinth B. Baguinon, RN, MPM, the School Nurse of Cabantian Stand Alone Senior High School (CSASHS), conducted an orientation on School Canteen Operations and Food Safety Standards for the school’s canteen concessioners, headed by School Canteen Manager Ms, Argel Marie Z. Bascon and Principal I Pearl Joy F. Martirizar.

The orientation aimed to strengthen the school canteen concessioners’ knowledge and understanding of proper food handling, sanitation, hygiene practices, and safety protocols in accordance with established food safety standards.

This initiative highlights the school’s commitment to ensuring that food served within the campus is safe, nutritious, and prepared in a sanitary environment. Through this activity, CSASHS continues to promote the health, safety, and well-being of its learners, teaching personnel, and non-teaching staff throughout the school year.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 occurred today, June 15, 2026, at 5:18 PM. Its epicenter is located approximately 104 miles, or 167 kilometers, away from Cabantian, Davao City — situated off the coast near Davao, Mindanao. This information is based on data from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, PHIVOLCS, and the United States Geological Survey, USGS.

Teachers, School Staff and Students were quick and safe as they approach the school ground that served as the evacuation site.

Please remain cautious, as aftershocks may follow. Stay alert and follow recommended safety measures.

Despite a challenging start to the school year due to earthquake-related disruptions and asynchronous classes, face-to-face classes officially resumed on Thursday at Cabantian Stand Alone Senior High School, marking the beginning of a new academic journey filled with learning, growth, and opportunities.

After a three-day suspension due to the earthquake, we are finally opening our gates once again to welcome each and every one of you back to school. We are grateful for everyone's safety and resilience during these challenging days.
