🌿🌊 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮 ✨

For the 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱: 𝗚𝗼 𝗚𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻, YFA-UPMin members spent the day enjoying different plant-based meals together during a simple seaside picnic 🌱💚

Good food, good people, and a small step toward a kinder and more sustainable future, enjoying the view and each other’s company. Simple moments like these remind us that choosing more mindful and compassionate food can also be fun and meaningful 🌊🍽️

𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 23𝙧𝙙 𝙗𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙪𝙨 ✨

𝗬𝗙𝗔 𝗨𝗣 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼, together with different organizations across Davao, was invited to 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗲’𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 of 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝘀: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 & 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝗴𝘂! From exciting moments on screen to finally seeing our beloved Grogu (Baby Yoda forever 🫶), the experience was definitely one for the galaxy books.

Thank you, Globe, for this opportunity and for bringing communities together through a night of Star Wars fun!

𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗧-𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗣𝗢𝗧𝗟𝗨𝗖𝗞 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 🌱🍽️

As part of the Plant Forward: Go Gulay Campaign, PAWS-Youth for Animals chapters will hold their own plant-based potlucks to bring the Plant Forward movement to their schools and communities 💚

These potlucks give YFA members a chance to experience Plant Forward in a way that feels natural to them: through food, friends, and community. Instead of just talking about plant-based choices, YFA members are bringing actual dishes to the table, sharing them with their peers, and showing that compassion can be practiced in daily moments like eating together.

At PAWS, advocacy has always included humane education: helping people understand that the way we treat animals is shaped by the choices we make every day. Plant Forward is part of that work, as it opens conversations about how reducing our reliance on animal-based meals is also connected to animal welfare.

Charlie usually hangs out near UPMin Guard House 1, but he’s been missing for over 3 days now. We’re really worried he may have gotten spooked during the recent heavy thunderstorms 🌧️

Calling All PAW-some Dogs! 🐾✨

May cute, friendly, at lovable dog ka ba? Baka siya na ang susunod na maghatid ng paghilom, comfort, at saya bilang isang Doctor Dog ng Angel Pets Program! 🐶❤️

Matapos ang matagumpay na pagsasagawa ng Temperament Testing sa Metro Cebu, ang Angel Pets ay kasalukuyang naghahanap ng mga potential volunteer Doctor Dogs sa Metro Davao. Magkakaroon ng dalawang batch ng temperament testing sa 3 June 2026 sa Jail Road, Maa, Davao City:
- Batch One: 9AM - 10:30AM
- Batch Two: 1:30PM - 3PM

Ang mga Doctor Dogs ay makakabilang sa mga animal-assisted therapy activities kasama ang mga residente ng Community and Residential Care Facilities ng Department of Social Welfare and Development - DSWD

POV: Gusto lang unta nimo i-pet ang cute nga mananap sa campus, pero napaakan o nakamrasan hinuon ka! 🐕🐈🐾

Bisan unsa pa ka-cute ang mga iring, iro, o uban pang campus strays, an unexpected bite or scratch is a serious medical emergency that you should never ignore. Animals can react unexpectedly—they get overstimulated, scared, or territorial. Busa, unsa may saktong buhaton?

Ayaw na pag-wait and see! Follow these quick first-aid steps:
💧 STEP 1: Wash the wound thoroughly with soap and running water for 15 solid minutes (Remember your "Golden 15"!).
🛑 STEP 2: Apply pressure with a clean cloth to stop any bleeding.
🧴 STEP 3: Apply an antiseptic cream or ointment.
🩹 STEP 4: Cover and protect the wound with a sterile bandage.
👀 STEP 5: Monitor for signs of infection (pamula, hubag, o nana).

Most importantly, don't rely on home remedies. Adto dayon sa pinakaduol nga Animal Bite Treatment Center (ABTC) para sa saktong medical assessment ug bakuna. 🏥🩺

We also successfully spayed/neutered and gave anti-rabies vaccinations to a 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗦𝗠 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀—our biggest batch of catch-neuter/spay-vaccinate-return as of yet.

Look at these cuties! With the help of our very own committ head, Dr. Jasper, and the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), dumadami na ang kapon cats natin at the College of Science and Mathematics 💙

They also received their anti-rabies vaccinations as part of our ongoing efforts to reduce the risk of rabies on campus.
