Last October 5, the Rotaract Club of Downtown Davao Poblacion proudly participated in the annual 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤, hosted by our beloved mother club, the 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨, to kick off the district-wide Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 🌸
Together with various organizations, we walked from Freedom Park to City Hall, united by one mission: to raise awareness, promote early detection, and show our support for everyone affected by breast cancer.
At 8AM, we also participated in the flag-raising ceremony, standing alongside fellow organizations to amplify the importance of breast cancer awareness and remind everyone that 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬. 🎗️

The celebration continued on October 10 at SM Annex with a meaningful day dedicated to breast cancer awareness, education, and empowerment. The event began at 7AM, offering 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧, encouraging everyone to take charge of their health through early detection.
An open forum followed, where medical specialists discussed the importance of early detection and emphasized why women should make annual checkups a priority. Knowledge and awareness are powerful tools in the fight against breast cancer! 🎗️
The event also featured the 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐰𝐚𝐲, a heartwarming showcase of strength, confidence, and resilience as breast cancer survivors walked the ramp in stylish outfits, joined by breast cancer advocates proudly wearing their beautiful pink Filipiniana attire. 🌷
At 5PM, everyone came together for an energetic 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐙𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚 session, spreading positivity and promoting an active, healthy lifestyle. The celebration concluded with an awarding ceremony, recognizing the participants and individuals who helped make the event meaningful and memorable.
As Rotaractors, we are proud to stand alongside our beloved mother club and fellow organizations in supporting this important cause. May our collective efforts keep motivating women to prioritize their health, seek regular screenings, and remember that they are never alone in this fight.
