With the assistance of the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the ICT Council of Davao was born in 2002 to champion the needs of the industry. ICT Davao successfully convened its 1st General Membership Meeting and Election of Officers for 2026, formally opened by our Chairman, Atty. Samuel R. Matunog, whose insightful and energetic message set the tone by highlighting the challenges and opportunities ahead for the ICT sector.

Outgoing President Xavier Eric B. Manalastas then presented the accomplishments of the past years, with special emphasis on ICT Davaoโ€™s initiatives on Artificial Intelligence.

The new officers were formally inducted by DICT Region XI Regional Director Evamay C. Dela Rosa, who also shared her message of support, key updates on DICT initiatives, and her commitment to close alignment and collaboration with ICT Davao.

Following the message of support, President Belinda L. Torres delivered her first message as the newly elected President, setting the four leadership pillars that will guide her term and calling for stronger collaboration among ICT sector stakeholders.

The program concluded with closing remarks from the Chairman, sector stakeholders, and partners. Strategic planning sessions and the appointment of additional officers will follow as ICT Davao moves forward in advancing its goals for this year and beyond.
