Choosing you as our moderator for the SSG is one of the best decisions we have ever made.
We did not know then how often we would hear your voice in the middle of meetings, preparations, programs, and deadlines. We did not know how many times you would ask what still needed to be done, who needed help, which document was still missing, or whether we were still okay. But somewhere along the way, those little check-ins became part of how we got things done.
Even on your busiest days, you still make room for us. You check our plans, go through our concerns, remind us of the things we overlook, and help us untangle whatever we have managed to make complicated. Somehow, the work feels less frightening when we know you are there.
And, of course, there is always that one line after every briefing:
โWala ko nasuko ha, ing-ani ra jud kog tingog.โ ๐ฅน
But behind that voice is someone who cares enough to keep reminding us, correcting us, and asking if we are still holding up. You have never made us feel like our SSG responsibilities were ours to figure out alone.
Perhaps that is what we are most grateful for: you never only watched us work, you made sure we were alright while doing it.
Thank you for the time you keep making for us, Maโam Jaazz. For every reminder we needed, every question you answered, and every little thing you did that made the long list of SSG work feel possible.
Our moderator, our mowmmโwe are genuinely grateful that it is you.
Happy Teachersโ Day, Maโam Jazz๐
