The Philippine Bats for Peace Foundation, Inc. or PBPFI projects a pro-active conservation program that takes initiatives on environmental, economic, social sustainable nature-based, and eco-tourism activities in the region. One of its intention is to boost the Eco-Tourism Estate and its natural resources. To bolster its bat conservation efforts, the Philippine Bats for Peace Foundation, Inc. sees the need to further strengthen its information, education, and communication campaign program to bring knowledge to public. And as part of our celebration for 2017 Bat Festival we will continue our flagship campaign on Climate Change, a campaign launched by Youth AmBatssadors for Peace or YAPies group under Philippine Bats for Peace Foundation, Inc. The highlights of this program are not only to provide awareness about how climate change affects us all and how the bat species being in the front line in helping mitigate effects of climate change. The approach being undertaken is holistic and value based applying the many unknown bats’ significant roles in helping people to transform ourselves. So, there is a great need to conserve these misunderstood bats since they offer many beneficial roles in maintaining the ecological balance of nature. PBPFI programs begin where everything begins, in the awareness to make climate change a personal responsibility for every Filipino so the needed paradigm shift can happen. Lastly, the Monfort Estate and Monfort Bat Sanctuary through PBPFI will also take its part in the government campaign “War Against Drugs” by donating a land for a rehabilitation center. We believe that one of the best therapy for supporting healing and wellness for stabilizing and improving mood and cognition is through immersion in a natural environment.
