On April 12, 2024, a heartwarming collaboration unfolded at Manaong Elementary School. The Social Action Club, Saver's Club, Mentors Division, Peer Club, Math Club, and BPED Division united for an outreach program. Enthusiastic volunteers from each club poured their energy into helping the children, providing much-needed personal hygiene items. Amidst the giving, laughter echoed as the children gleefully participated in the engaging games prepared by the volunteers. It was a day filled with generosity, camaraderie, and smiles that truly made a difference in the lives of those we touched.

πŸ“ŒDID YOU KNOW?

Corazon "Cory" Aquino, the first female president of the Philippines, rose to power through the People Power Revolution in 1986, a peaceful movement that led to the downfall of President Ferdinand Marcos. Born into wealth, she married Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr., a prominent political figure who opposed Marcos' regime. After Ninoy's assassination, Cory took up his cause, leading protests against Marcos and ultimately challenging him in the presidential election. Despite facing adversity, including rigged elections and political persecution, Cory emerged victorious and served as president from 1986 to 1992. Her legacy of peaceful resistance and commitment to democracy continues to inspire generations in the Philippines and beyond.

πŸ“ŒDID YOU KNOW?

Melchora Aquino, also known as "Tandang Sora," was a brave Filipino hero during the fight for freedom from Spain. Even though she was already old, she helped the revolutionaries by giving them a safe place to meet and treating their wounds. When the Spanish caught her, she didn't give up any secrets. They sent her away, but she came back to the Philippines after it was free. She even became the first Filipina hero to appear on our money. Melchora Aquino's story shows how one person's courage can inspire a whole nation.
