Funded by a P3.67 billion (โ‚ฌ60 million) grant from the European Union in the Philippines, the EU-PH Green Economy Partnership is a priority programme under the EUโ€™s Global Gateway initiative and is led by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). It aims to link European and Filipino partners from the private sector and local governments to accelerate the countryโ€™s transition to a greener economy while sustaining economic growth.

This initiative is done under the EU-PH Green Economy Partnership: Green Business, Infrastructure, and Finance implemented by Expertise France, co-led by the DTI Philippines, and co-implemented with the GGGI Philippines.

The MARIAN Technology Business Incubator (TBI) and the UIC Intellectual Property and Technology Support Office (ITSO), under the Research, Publication, and Innovation Center (RPIC) of the University of the Immaculate Conception, proudly participated in Inoblasyon 2026: The UP Innovation Summit and the IMPACT NXT Presidents Forum & KTTO Workshop held from May 5โ€“7, 2026 in Taguig City.

The three-day engagement gathered innovation leaders, researchers, technology transfer officers, and startup enablers from across the country to strengthen collaboration in research commercialization, intellectual property management, and innovation-driven entrepreneurship.

One of the highlights of the event was the Commercial Readiness Workflow Workshop facilitated by the UP System Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO), where participating HEIs explored structured approaches in assessing technologies for commercialization and real-world deployment.

Through this participation, MARIAN TBI and UIC ITSO reaffirm their commitment to advancing innovation, strengthening technology transfer initiatives, supporting startup development, and transforming research into impactful and community-centered solutions for the Filipino people.

Yesterday was Day 3, and time really moves fast when youโ€™re deep in learning mode.

The sessions got more intense as our academe trainees dove deeper into blockchain development, smart contracts, auditing, and cybersecurity. Hands-on work was in full swing, and yes, the brain sweat was definitely real.

From discussions to code reviews, every moment sharpened skills and built confidence for real-world blockchain education.

๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฉ Day 1 of the Blockchain Curriculum: Train the Trainers Program officially opened yesterday, marking the start of a 1-week intensive journey in blockchain education and capacity building.

We were joined by academe trainees from across Mindanao, alongside our international trainers, guest speakers, partners, and visitors, coming together to begin this shared effort in advancing Web3 education within academic institutions.

A solid first day focused on learning, alignment, and building the foundation for the days ahead.
