Today, January 30, 2026, the Peer Facilitatorsโ League and Peer Mentorsโ League, in collaboration with the Wellness and Testing Center and the Arrupe Office of Social Formation, conducted โI Can, I Will, Iโm Safe: A Workshop on Child Safeguarding and Coping Strategiesโ for Grade 6 pupils at Talomo Central Elementary School, Davao City.
The session introduced age-appropriate lessons on body ownership, good touch and bad touch, the โNo, Go, Tell!โ response, and simple coping tools in a safe and child-friendly environmentโputting Cura Personalis, care for the whole person, into action by empowering children to protect themselves.
Beyond educating the pupils, the activity also allowed PFL and PML members to serve as caring ate and kuya figures, strengthening their leadership and empathy. Together with the WTC guidance counselors, this community engagement became a shared effort to protect dignity, promote safety, and build a culture of care for the most vulnerable. ๐๐ฉต
