For many of us, a school chair is something we barely notice. But for Ata Manobo children in far-flung communities, having a proper seat and basic school essentials can mean the difference between merely getting through the day—or learning with dignity, comfort, and hope.

Through 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐌𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐆, JCI Kadayawan, in partnership with the 60th Infantry Battalion, aims to provide 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 to indigenous learners who continue to pursue education despite challenging conditions and limited access to basic learning resources.

Together, we hope to create a more dignified, comfortable, and empowering learning environment—because every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and build a brighter future.

LAMANO: A Commitment Sealed, A Future Strengthened

JCI Kadayawan marked a meaningful milestone as we officially entered into a partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Region XI through the signing of our Memorandum of Agreement, LAMANO.

LAMANO, derived from the word “kamay” (hand), symbolizes unity, collaboration, and shared responsibility. It represents the coming together of hands — each bringing strength, purpose, and intention — to create real, lasting impact in our communities.

In the spirit of the JCI movement, where active citizenship drives sustainable change, LAMANO reflects our commitment to go beyond projects and build partnerships that empower, uplift, and transform lives. Together with DSWD Region XI, we strengthen our reach and deepen our impact — ensuring that no community is left behind.

This partnership is more than a signed agreement — it is a shared promise to serve with purpose, to lead with heart, and to create opportunities that matter.

𝗞𝗞𝗞 𝗪𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝟮 | 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗱, 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲
𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

JCI Kadayawan successfully conducted K*K Wave 2 in Talaingod, Davao del Norte—continuing our mission to create meaningful impact through service and collaboration.

This initiative was made possible through our strong partnership with the 60th Infantry "Mediator" Battalion, under the leadership of Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Jesus Rosete, alongside our dedicated volunteer partners from the Public Attorney’s Office – Kapalong Branch, IBP Davao del Norte, and the Municipality of Talaingod Local Civil Registry.

Together, we worked hand in hand to provide essential assistance to our Ata Manobo brothers and sisters in securing their legal identification documents—an important step toward access, inclusion, and empowerment.

In addition, a medical mission was conducted where we provided free consultations, medicines, and supplements—supporting the overall health and well-being of the community.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Office of Atty. Bona Jumamil for generously sponsoring the medicines that made this initiative even more impactful.

More than just a service activity, this milestone also marked the formal strengthening of our collaboration with the 60th Infantry Battalion through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)—a shared commitment to sustain efforts that uplift communities and create lasting change.
