Si Sally Chua, isang negosyante mula Quezon City, ay dinukot ng isang kidnap‑for‑ransom syndicate mula mismo sa kanyang opisina. Humingi ng malaking halaga ang grupo kapalit ng kanyang kalayaan.

Habang bihag, ginamit ni Sally ang kanyang talino at sinabi sa mga dumukot na may pera siya sa bangko sa Davao City. Pumayag ang grupo at isinama siya roon.
