๐ŸŒฟ BILIARY ATRESIA AWARENESS AND OUR JOURNEY โ—

Biliary atresia is a rare and serious liver disease in children. This happens when bile ducts (bile ducts) are clogged, damaged, or not fully developed. Because of this, the gallbladder cannot go out of the liver to the intestine, so it will accumulate in the liver and cause severe damage.

Gusto nako mag share og awareness while sharing our journey as a family.
My child was diagnosed with biliary atresia while he was still a baby. At 3 months old, he underwent Kasai procedure (hepatoportoenterostomy).

Kasai operation is a surgery that connects the intestine part directly to the liver to create a new pathway in the bile. It can help slow down the damage, but it is not a permanent cure.

After the operation, that's where the hardest part of our life started. Almost every week, we go back to the hospital for check-ups, labs, and sometimes admission. Infection and maintenance medicines have become part of our everyday life.

When my son reaches 10 years old, we have reached the point that he needs a liver transplant. I was his donor myself. The transplant was done in New Delhi, India last 2023 and the procedure was very expensive.

We thought after transplant, everything is okay. But it's not yet. That's where the higher battle began. Weekly and monthly labs, check ups, maintenance meds, and repeated admission due to liver rejection has become normal in our lives.

This March 2026, we are very thankful that his pediatric doctor from India came here to check his condition and other children who have the same case as my child. But that's where we learned that he had to undergo angioplasty.

Angioplasty is a procedure to open or widen the narrowed blood vessels using a small balloon or stent to improve the blood flow. Since it's not yet available here in the Philippines, we have to go back to India for this procedure.

Looking back on our journey since 2023 transplant, I can truly say we have come a long way and we have come a lot
we passed the trial, and i know that God's plan is better than this trial.. & I'll never forget my son saying he was scared to die because he looked alone in the casket.

That's it no matter how hard it gets, as long as my child wants to live, we will continue to fight as parents until the end by the grace of God ๐Ÿ™ and His will because He knows everything better. As long as we are parents, we do our part because a child trusts God.
Now, we are facing another challenge.

We also have t-shirts for sale coming Because the second batch is already sold out, we have a third batch that will arrive and we will post it once the one who wants to arrive then you will purchase. ๐Ÿค And Please check my GCash QR code in the comment section, maybe you have a little share to those who are thirsty, just give.May God bless a Generous heart โค๏ธ thank you so much๐Ÿ™

And most of all, we also ask for your prayers, as it is a huge help in complete healing and hope for my son.
Thank you so much for your support and prayers ๐Ÿ’›

Godbless ๐Ÿ™
