“ᴄʀᴀꜰᴛɪɴɢ ᴄᴏᴍᴘᴇᴛᴇɴᴄᴇ: ᴘʀᴀᴄᴛɪᴄᴀʟ ᴀᴘᴘʀᴏᴀᴄʜᴇꜱ ɪɴ ᴏᴄᴄᴜᴘᴀᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ ᴛʜᴇʀᴀᴘʏ ᴇᴅᴜᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ” brought together dynamic discussions and hands-on insights from professionals across various fields in OT.

In the morning, we kicked things off with an empowering talk from Jace Devin Lapus, OTRP, C/NDT ✋”Hands-on Healing: Introduction to Therapeutic Modalities in Occupational Therapy” His session highlighted the importance of practical techniques and clinical reasoning in delivering effective, client-centered care.

In the afternoon, the learning continued with two equally impactful sessions:
🧩 Marella Jean Legarta, OTRP” Sensory Integration 101: Making Sense of the Senses” She helped us understand how sensory processing impacts daily functioning, providing a strong foundation for sensory-based interventions.

🧠 Andrea Gael Haw, OTRP “Seeing Beyond the Diagnosis: Raising Awareness and Encouraging a Holistic View of Mental Health” She emphasized compassion, advocacy, and the bigger picture in mental health care, truly inspiring!
