A meaningful and heartwarming day spent with the wonderful children of House of Joy💛

This outreach was more than just an activity it was a reminder of how powerful compassion, kindness, and genuine connection can be. Through simple moments of laughter, games, conversations, and shared smiles, we were able to bring joy, comfort, and support to the children. Seeing their happiness and feeling their warmth made this experience truly unforgettable for all of us.

We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to spend time with these amazing kids and create memories filled with love and hope. Their smiles touched our hearts in ways words cannot fully explain, and they reminded us that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.

A special and heartfelt thank you to our Clinical Instructor, Ms. Marielle M. Avila, OTRP, for guiding, supporting, and giving us this meaningful opportunity to serve and connect with the community. 📍May 8, 2026 — Co Su Gian Home for the Aged, Cabantian, Buhangin, Davao City

A meaningful day of service and connection was shared at Co Su Gian Home for the Aged as free Occupational Therapy assessments and screenings were conducted for the elderly residents of the facility. Beyond the assessments, the experience became an opportunity to spend quality time, share conversations, and create warm moments with the lolos and lolas of the home.

This outreach activity would not have been possible without the guidance and support of the people who continuously inspire compassionate and community-centered care.

A special acknowledgment is extended to Ms. Marielle M. Avila, OTRP, for her dedication, guidance, and unwavering support throughout the activity. Her mentorship continues to inspire future Occupational Therapists to serve with empathy, compassion, and professionalism.

Last Sunday, the BS Occupational Therapy students of Davao Doctors College proudly took part in Angels Walk 2026 💚✨

More than just a walk, Angels Walk 2026 was a meaningful gathering of families, advocates, students, and communities united for one purpose—to promote awareness, inclusion, and acceptance for all. Each step taken carried a message of hope, reminding everyone that every individual is unique, valued, and deserving of love and understanding.

Being part of this event allowed participants to witness the strength, joy, and resilience within the community. It served as a powerful reminder that inclusion goes beyond words—it is something continuously practiced through empathy, respect, and support for one another.

As future occupational therapists, this experience deepened their commitment to advocating for participation, independence, and dignity in everyday life. At the same time, Angels Walk 2026 highlighted the importance of collective action—showing that real change happens when a community walks together with compassion and purpose.

Grateful to have been part of such an inspiring movement, they carry its message forward—continuing to promote inclusion wherever they go 🤍💚
