The 28th Project CCOluv session featured an insightful and blissful conversation with determined student leaders from 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐔𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐝𝐒), 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐒), 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐆𝐋𝐢𝐓𝐄𝐒), 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐄), 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐇𝐀 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 (𝐆𝐘𝐈𝐒) that happened on the 6th day of March, 2026.
This session provided a space for each organization’s head and members to speak up their current challenges and concerns, prompting the 41st CCO officers to work harder and think critically to be able to suggest practical solutions and lend a hand for support. Consequently, the chairpersons of the session also spoke of the 41st council’s planned initiatives for the rest of the academic year which the organization’s head and members attentively listened to.

The College of Information and Computing (CIC) is proud to announce that its academic programs have successfully received Level 1 accreditation from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP). This recognition underscores CIC’s steadfast dedication to delivering quality, relevant, and excellent education.

The programs accredited are:
• Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) – Level 1
• Doctor in Information Technology (DIT) – Level 1

This milestone is a testament to the collaborative efforts of USeP administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners, all of whom play an essential role in advancing academic excellence and innovation in information and computing education.

Meet Kristina, our very own BLIS student, a dedicated second-year from the University of Southeastern Philippines. Although she once dreamed of other paths, she now sees how perfectly this field aligns with her love for stories and service.

Her educational journey has been deeply meaningful, filled with curiosity and the guidance of inspiring mentors. Every class and discussion strengthens her confidence as she prepares to step into the professional world of librarianship.

Kristina is especially passionate about museums and archives, where she hopes to preserve history and cultural identity for future generations. She aspires to make our shared past accessible to all, ensuring that important stories are never forgotten.

While he is known for being the joker of the group, he is also our unofficial "King of Efficiency." Jhesryl has a unique talent for finding the quickest, most direct way to get a task done, ensuring that our logistics move as fast as his jokes. 🏃‍♂️💨🃏

The University of Southeastern Philippines Tagum-Mabini Campus proudly marks a milestone as Dr. Winda B. Cejas is elected Member of the Executive Council (ExeCon) of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts - National Committee on Libraries and Information Services (NCCA-NCLIS) for the 2026–2028 term—a distinction that places USeP at the forefront of national conversations on knowledge access, information governance, and library development.

Dr. Cejas’ election is more than a personal achievement; it is a vote of confidence in her leadership, expertise, and long-standing commitment to advancing libraries as engines of learning, research, and inclusive development. As part of the NCCA-NCLIS Executive Council, she will help shape policies and strategies that strengthen information systems across the country—ensuring that libraries remain responsive, innovative, and deeply connected to the needs of communities, educators, and researchers in a rapidly evolving digital age.

Her appointment signals a broader impact: a stronger academic voice in national decision-making and a renewed push for libraries not just as repositories of knowledge, but as active partners in nation-building.
