Honoring a Legacy of Impact: RCED Welcomes District Governor Arlene Adlawan! ⚙️✨

On September 29, 2026, the Rotary Club of East Davao (RCED) marked a monumental milestone, proudly hosting the official visit of Rotary International District 3860 Governor Arlene Adlawan, together with her Assistant Governor Villamercedes Silva, Chief of Staff Vincent Ang.

This high-profile occasion stands as a powerful testament to a vibrant, working club entirely united and deeply committed to carrying forward an extraordinary 62 years of Service Above Self.
Leading this historic charge is our 62nd President, Armand Mortejo. Standing before the district leadership, President Mortejo dynamicly presented the club’s strategic roadmap, visionary plans, and high-impact goals for the year ahead.

An extraordinary vision requires an extraordinary team. A profound thank you goes out to our undeniably phenomenal members, whose unwavering dedication and professional excellence continue to drive sustainable change in our communities.

Under the inspiring guidance of DG Arlene Adlawan and the stellar leadership of President Armand Mortejo, RCED is not just dreaming of a better tomorrow—we are actively building it.

TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY FOR ROTARY 2026

Held on September 26, 2026 at The Rotary Park, West Marahan, EUREKA-SRD Training Center, Marilog Proper, Davao City, the activity highlighted Rotary’s commitment to creating a sustainable and greener future as part of the 7 Areas of Focus- the Environment.

The sense of service is still expanding as the Rotary Tree Planting Activity 2026 of Area 2ABCE, Rotary District 3860, united Rotarians for an impactful day dedicated to environmental care and community involvement.

Representing the Rotary Club of East Davao, actively participated in the last 61 years of this worthwhile initiative, joining fellow Rotarians in planting trees and nurturing hope for generations to come.

To celebrate this special Basic Education and Literacy Month for Rotary International in one of the 7 areas of focus-an annual occasion dedicated to promoting the importance of reading, education, and lifelong learning, we want to highlight our ongoing commitment to serving our community through impactful service that goes above and beyond personal interests. Our organization, the Rotary Club of East Davao (RCED), has been passionately working toward empowering individuals through education and scholarship programs, embodying the core principle of service above self. Over the past 28 years, the RCED has taken pride in its dedicated efforts to uplift deserving students by providing them with scholarships that open doors to better educational opportunities and brighter futures.

In this time, our club has successfully produced a remarkable total of 44 graduates( Magna Cum Laude, Cum Laude and Special Recognition) who are our graduate scholars, equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. This achievement is not just a number but a testament to our persistent dedication, teamwork, and unwavering belief in the transformative power of education.
Each of these graduates represents a story of perseverance, hope, and newfound possibilities made possible through our collective efforts and community support. As we celebrate this milestone, we also acknowledge the continued growth and strength of our club, which remains committed to expanding its reach, improving its programs, and fostering a legacy of impactful service.

Looking ahead, the RCED is determined to sustain and enhance these initiatives, ensuring that more promising students can benefit from our scholarships and related educational programs. We understand that fostering literacy and education is fundamental to building a better, more equitable society, and we are dedicated to playing our part in this important mission. Through our ongoing efforts, collaboration, and community involvement, we strive to make a lasting difference, reinforcing the values of service above self and creating a legacy that will inspire future generations to continue the work we have started.
