As members of Breastfriends Davao, we know that the journey through breast cancer is never easy. It is a path filled with challenges, uncertainties, and sacrifices. Yet despite these trials, our survivors continue to rise with strength, hope, and determination.

Each scar tells a story of courage. Each step forward is a victory. And each survivor is a living testament that hope is stronger than fear.

Your strength as a 15-year breast cancer survivor continues to inspire everyone who has had the privilege of knowing you. Through your leadership, kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith, you have touched countless lives as the head of our Breast Friends Davao Support Group.

You are down-to-earth, God-fearing, and full of love for everyone around you. More than a friend, you have become a sister to many of us, and we are truly grateful to God for giving you to our lives.

On your 55th birthday, we celebrate not only another year of life but also the hope, courage, and compassion that you share so generously with others.

𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 successfully conducted its “𝗟𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗹 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆” last Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Upper Marahan, Marilog District. One of the its major programs dedicated to sharing hope, love, and compassion with the community, especially the children preparing for the upcoming school year.

The activity became even more meaningful as the members and volunteers of Breastfriends Davao worked hand in hand to ensure that everything was well-organized and filled with joy for the children and their families. Despite their own battles and journeys as cancer warriors and survivors, the members chose to become instruments of hope and blessings to others.

The program formally started with an 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝘀. 𝗟𝗶𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝘇, followed by the inspiring 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝘀. 𝗥𝗮𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗣. 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗯 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼, who beautifully reminded everyone that despite the challenges brought by cancer, God continuously opens doors of abundant grace, strength, and provision. She emphasized that this outreach activity is one way of giving back the blessings received from the Lord by sharing them with the children and the community.

𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗲𝗻𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 also took a meaningful moment to introduce Breastfriends Davao to the beneficiaries and parents, sharing its mission, advocacy, and the purpose behind conducting outreach activities such as “Lapis at Papel.”

Meanwhile, 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗺𝗮 𝗔𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗼, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 who continuously guides and supports the children in the community, warmly welcomed the group and expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the big help that Breastfriends Davao has extended to the children and their families.

Before the distribution of school bags, school supplies, hygiene kits, and snacks, the children enjoyed a lively community sing-and-dance presentation led by the Breastfriends volunteers, bringing smiles, laughter, and excitement to everyone present. Free haircut services for the young boys were also provided as part of the outreach activity and BP taking for their parents.

Indeed, the success of this activity was made possible through the unity, dedication, generosity, and love of every Breastfriends Davao member, volunteers, donors, and supporters. More than the school supplies distributed, what truly touched the hearts of the children was the love, hope, care, and inspiration shared with them that day.

Because in Breastfriends Davao, even amidst life’s battles, we continue to choose 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲. 🎗️🩷🎗️🩷🎗️🩷

As part of our continuing commitment to community care and compassion, Breastfriends Davao is once again launching our Lapis at Papel Outreach Activity, an outreach initiative dedicated to providing school supplies to underprivileged children in 𝗨𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

Today, we humbly knock on your kind hearts and invite you to be part of this meaningful mission. Through your generosity, we can help equip these young learners with the tools they need to continue their education with hope and confidence. ✨

We are accepting support in the form of:

𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗗𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗼 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
With hearts full of pride and purpose, Breastfriends Davao once again joined the Parada Dabawenyo 2026, marking our second year of participation in this meaningful celebration of the 89th Araw ng Dabaw. Together with thousands of Dabawenyos, we marched in unity, resilience, and community spirit.

As a breast cancer support group, our participation goes beyond celebration. 𝗪𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆. Through events like this, we continue to raise awareness and remind every patient, survivor, and warrior that “You are not alone in this journey.”

We are deeply grateful to Davao Doctors Hospital for creating and sustaining the Pink Circle Program, a platform that allows breast cancer patients to come together as a support group, gain knowledge, and receive psychosocial care.

As a mental health program, Pink Circle nurtures emotional strength, healing, and empowerment alongside medical care. More than the shirts we proudly wore, the Pink Circle represents unity, courage, and hope, reflecting DDH’s unwavering commitment to holistic cancer care and mental well being.
