🚨URGENT ADVISORY: Cancellation of Tomorrow's General Assembly due to Davao Oriental Quake and Safety Protocols

To our Fellow HAUM-CRCY Council,

With a heavy but necessary heart, we must formally announce the cancellation of our General Assembly scheduled for tomorrow, October 11, 2025 (Saturday).

As advocates of humanity, our first and foremost duty is to ensure the safety and well-being of our own members. Following the significant Magnitude 7.4 earthquake off Davao Oriental today, and the continuing risk of strong aftershocks, we believe it is the most responsible and prudent action to take.

We must avoid gathering a large group in a single location until the University has conducted a complete assessment of all campus facilities and the regional situation has stabilized.

Please prioritize your safety and that of your families.

- Stay Alert: Be ready to Drop, Cover, and Hold On in case of any further tremors.
- Monitor: Follow official advisories from PHIVOLCS and the University of Mindanao.
- Check In: If you or anyone you know requires immediate assistance, please notify a CRCYC officer immediately.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this causes. We were deeply looking forward to meeting with you all, but your safety is absolutely non-negotiable.

We will communicate the new date and details for the General Assembly as soon as conditions allow. Please stay safe, vigilant, and take care of your families.

A fire has devastated our neighbors in 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟏-𝐂, 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, leaving families with nothing. Homes may be lost, but hope is not.
