The National Youth Commission joins the celebration of National Women's Month, under the sub-theme "Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas."

This year’s celebration underscores women's leadership as an integral part of the Filipino identity, evidenced by the pre-colonial era of the Babaylan, when women leaders provided wisdom, guidance and mediation to empower communities to be safe, balanced, and resilient. 💪

Our General Assembly was not just a gathering — it was a celebration of unity, awareness, and empowerment. 💖
This milestone reflects our commitment to equality, education, advocacy, and service. Through open conversations and accessible health services, we continue to create a safe space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

To everyone who attended, participated, and supported this event especially to our SK Chairperson of Bago Aplaya Hon. Jeslie E. Suaga and to her SK Council for sponsoring, to our Punong Barangay Hon. Marlon F. Campos and to all Barangay Council, to our guest speaker Sir Oscar Obenza Jr., HIV volunteers Sir Ricardo Tupas Jr. and Ms. Flor Pabilan, to Miss Chico Manginsay for the coordination, to Davao City LGBT Coalition headed by sir Sauro, to the purok leader of Seaside Bago Aplaya sir Densing and ofcourse to Miss Adrian Alagaban our barangay secretary for all the letters and lastly to the City Government of Davao-1st District Councilors and the members of HUBAG.
