Last February 9, the Center Against Illegal Drugs (CAID) conducted a chicken dispersal activity for one client each from Barangay Catigan and Barangay Pangyan. This initiative forms part of the intervention plan facilitated by our Social Work Interns together with the Barangay Council, integrating recovery support with sustainable livelihood assistance.
The chickens were sourced from the CAID Multiplier Farm in Barangay Tibuloy—an ongoing project in partnership with the Department of Agriculture. The farm continues to operate through CAID’s savings generated as a Service Provider of the Drug-Free Workplace Program of Davao City.
This initiative reflects CAID’s commitment not only to prevention and education, but also to healing, recovery, and community-based reintegration.
