WAY OF THE CROSS | STATION 4

JESUS IS SCOURGED AND CROWNED WITH THORNS

In this station, we remember the suffering of Christ as He is scourged, mocked, and crowned with thorns. His silent endurance of pain and humiliation reveals the depth of His love—a love that embraces sacrifice for our salvation.

This reflection was made more meaningful through the cooperation of the Zone 9 Youth Apostolate, whose dedication and teamwork brought this portrayal to life. Their unity reminds us that faith is strengthened when we journey together, supporting one another in prayer and service.

As we continue the Way of the Cross, may we learn from Christ’s humility and from the spirit of collaboration shown by our youth community. Let us bear our own trials with patience, and walk in solidarity with one another, trusting in the healing and redeeming love of Christ.

OPENING OUR EYES: JOURNEYING IN FAITH THIS LENT

Last March 15, 2026, the Zone 9 youths gathered for a meaningful Lenten Formation anchored on the Holy Gospel according to John 9:1–41, reflecting on the story of healing, spiritual blindness, and the gift of true sight in Christ.

The session was enriched by the presence of our guest speaker, Brother Ed Louie Perong, who shared profound insights about the Gospel, deepened our understanding of the Bible, and reminded us of the true essence of the Lenten season. His reflections encouraged everyone to open not only their eyes but also their hearts to God’s grace and truth.

This gathering was made possible through the generosity and unwavering support of our GSLs, who extended both moral encouragement and financial assistance to bring this formation to life. We sincerely thank them for their invaluable contributions and continued support to the youth community.

As we continue our Lenten journey, may we strive to see beyond the surface, grow in faith, and walk in the light of Christ who heals and renews us.
