This International Youth Day, we celebrate the dreams, ideas, talents, and voices of young people who bring energy and inspiration to their communities.

Every young person has a story, a dream worth pursuing, and something meaningful to offer. Together, we can inspire one another, celebrate our strengths, and turn our ideas into positive action.

May we continue to dream with purpose, grow with courage, and move forward together.

Because when young people believe in their potential, there is no limit to what we can become.

Sa pangunguna ng ating mga YES-O Officers, sama-sama tayong kumilos para sa Plastic Free Friday. Sa bawat plastic na naiiwasan at sa bawat basurang naitatapon nang tama, isang hakbang na lang tayo palapit sa mas malinis at mas ligtas na kapaligiran.

The technology in our hands begins with resources from the Earth.

💡𝙏𝙍𝙄𝙑𝙄𝘼

The word Pax means peace, while Silica refers to silicon dioxide—the raw mineral refined into pure silicon, which forms the hardware foundation of all modern computer chips. Today, this name represents PAX SILICA, a US-led international tech coalition that has established a massive 1,619-hectare "Economic Security Zone" in New Clark City, Tarlac, to secure global AI and semiconductor supply chains.

⚠️ But here’s the danger: Increased mining and large-scale development can lead to deforestation, polluted rivers, loss of wildlife habitats, and damage to ecosystems. It may also affect farmers and Indigenous communities whose lives and livelihoods depend on the land.

🌱 Technology should never be built by sacrificing nature and people.
As Filipino youth, let us spread awareness, protect our environment, and stand against actions that threaten our land and communities.

𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐄 7 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐄 8 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒 𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

Today, the YES-O officers and grade level representatives united to promote environmental responsibility through our Plastic Free Friday campaign.

Together, we encouraged the use of reusable alternatives, reduced single-use plastics, and helped keep our school clean. Every small action contributes to a healthier and greener future.

Simultaneously, we, the YES-O, conducted an election for Grade 7 and Grade 8 Representatives.

𝙎𝙈𝘼𝙇𝙇 𝘾𝙃𝙊𝙄𝘾𝙀𝙎 𝘾𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙏𝙀 𝘽𝙄𝙂 𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙀𝙎💚

Last Friday, the YES-O Dasol Integrated School encouraged DISians to bring their reusable tumblers instead of buying single-use plastic bottles in observance of 𝑃𝑙𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑐 𝐹𝑟𝑒𝑒 𝐹𝑟𝑖𝑑𝑎𝑦, proving that even the simplest habits can make a big difference for our environment. We also searched for our future Grade 7 and Grade 8 YES-O representatives, who will help lead and inspire environmental action in our school.

DISians, YES-O Dasol Integrated School invites everyone to join Earth Hour today at 8:30 PM. 🌍💡

We encourage all students, teachers, and families to turn off their lights for one hour as a simple way of showing care and responsibility for our environment.

This small act may seem simple, but when we do it together, it becomes a meaningful step toward protecting our planet and promoting a better, more sustainable future.

The Youth for Environment in Schools – Organization (YES-O) officers are student leaders who stand at the forefront of environmental stewardship, embodying responsibility, initiative, and unwavering commitment to sustainability. Through eco-driven programs, awareness campaigns, clean-up initiatives, and green advocacies, they have cultivated a culture of accountability and respect for our environment within the school community.

Their year of service was not merely about fulfilling duties, but about inspiring action, shaping perspectives, and proving that leadership rooted in purpose creates lasting impact. Their dedication has strengthened our collective mission to protect and preserve our natural resources for the generations to come.
