According to OF THE YEAR :
"The International Day for Biological Diversity was first established in the early 1990s as part of a growing global effort to recognize and protect the living systems that support life on Earth.

It was connected to international conversations about conservation, sustainable use of natural resources, and fair sharing of benefits derived from biological resources. These ideas came together through a major global agreement focused on biodiversity, and the observance was created to help keep public attention on those commitments."

Apart from the SCHOOL BAGS, we also hope to get your support as we raise funds to purchase hygiene kits and school supplies set for selected public elementary schools and students, and 3 Smart TV units for 3 public schools.

According to OF THE YEAR :
"Academic freedom is the principle that scholars and students should be able to teach, learn, research, and discuss ideas without fear of censorship or retaliation when their work is conducted responsibly and according to the standards of their disciplines.

At its best, it protects the ordinary mechanics of learning: asking hard questions, following evidence where it leads, debating competing interpretations, and publishing findings even when they unsettle people in power.

International Academic Freedom Day invites people to pay attention to those conditions and to speak up for them. It also offers a useful reminder that academic freedom is not the same as “saying anything without consequences.”"
