𝐎𝐧𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 ♻️🎓👨🎓
The DLSU-D School of Governance, Public Service and Corporate Leadership held the graduation of 74 barangay leaders who completed the Barangay Leadership: Ethics, Accountability, and Development (B-LEAD) and Barangay Governance for Resilient Environment (B-GREEN) executive program.
According to University Provost Dr. Christian George Francisco, the success of the programs has inspired the university to consider an undergraduate program on sustainability to help more aspiring public officials to understand sustainable leadership concepts for better planning and policymaking in the grassroots level.
Graduate representatives Hon. Eduardo Tibayan Jr. PhD, Hon. Isaias Villanueva, LPT credited the program for their better understanding of their important role in the barangay while B-GREEN resource person Mr. Patrick A. Pepa, RN, LPT paid tribute to the dedication of the SGPSCL team lead by Dr. Rommel Mazo and volunteer professors which contributed to the success of the program. Hon. Antonio Magtibay, the oldest graduate at the age 76, also delivered the closing speech to talk about his experience with the program.
Partners from the Department of Interior and Local Government, Anti Red Tape Authority and other partners also graced the event.
