N.E.E.D. PROJECT: Pawikan Conservation & Coastal Cleanup for NUD Year 5

We unite with our partner communities to protect our marine ecosystems at the Pawikan Sanctuary, Brgy. Labac, Naic, Cavite, on March 14–15, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

This institutional community initiative of NU Dasmariñas brings together committed volunteers alongside our partners from the Samahan ng Labac Pawikan Patrollers (SLPP) and Edilberto S. Legaspi Integrated High School.

This effort supports key Sustainable Development Goals—primarily SDG 14 (Life Below Water) and SDG 13 (Climate Action)—as well as SDGs 15, 4, 17, 12, and 11.

Together, we aim to strengthen environmental stewardship, foster community–academe–LGU partnerships, and promote experiential learning for sustainable action.

Let’s continue championing marine conservation and protecting our coastlines—one cleanup, one Pawikan, and one empowered community at a time.

As we embark on this mission to make a difference, we invite you to join our cause — a cause that transcends walls and fences and speaks to the very essence of humanity. Your support, in the form of a donation, serves as a beacon of hope for those with no voice and a lifeline for those seeking refuge.

Every can, every sack, and every small offering may seem simple, but to a rescued animal, it means comfort, care, and a second chance.

We were honored to learn from our inspiring speakers, Christian Tuason, Admin of Strays Worth Saving, and Nico Gueco, Director of Strays Worth Saving, based in Tanauan, Batangas.

Through their insights and real-life experiences in rescue and shelter management, participants gained a deeper understanding of animal welfare and the importance of becoming responsible and compassionate advocates for our furry companions.

This initiative reflects our commitment to extend service beyond people, standing as voices for the voiceless, and champions of empathy in our communities.
