🇵🇭THE COCONUT TREE I THE TREE OF LIFE
With a life span of 60-80 years, the coconut tree is considered a ‘three-generation tree’ as it can support a farmer, his children, and his grandchildren. The tree is slow to mature, bearing coconuts for OPV tall in six to eight years, while the OPV dwarf bears fruits in three to five years.
Why is the coconut tree considered, besides the ‘three-generation tree’ and the ‘Tree of Life’?
Because all the parts of the entire tree – from top to bottom – are used to sustain human life, it must be the most valuable tree in the world. Coconuts are found in many parts of the world. And one of the top 10 coconut producers in the world, the Philippines!
With your help, we can plant more coconut trees and contribute to global reforestation efforts by planting trees, restoring lost forests, repairing damaged ecosystems, and mitigating climate change.
Each coconut seedling you plant eventually grows into a coconut tree that sequesters 417.58 kilos of carbon during its entire lifespan to combat climate change.
