From the wild spirit of Rodeo Reign to the grand stage of Mr. and Ms. Bicol University 2026, he is now ready to turn every stride into a statement and every moment into a showstopper.

Armed with the eloquence of a student from Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English, the grit of a cowboy, and the passion of a future educator, he is here to prove that the College of Education doesn't just teach the language of excellence—it speaks it, owns it, and makes the whole arena listen! This cowboy isn't just here to ride; he's here to lead the charge, stir up the crowd, and show the university what TATAK EDUK looks like when confidence meets purpose. Derived from the Filipino word urulay—meaning discussion or exchange of ideas, the event embodies the heart of purposeful leadership and meaningful service: listening before leading, understanding before deciding, and working together to turn the needs of the CEnian community into concrete action. This event serves as a platform for open dialogue, shared perspectives, and collective commitment—reminding us that genuine leadership is not merely about having a voice, but about using it to serve others.

The CSE is an examination administered by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to assess the qualifications of individuals aspiring to enter government service. Passing this examination is an important step toward becoming part of a professional, competent, and service-oriented public workforce committed to serving the Filipino people.

The 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 (𝐁𝐔𝐂𝐄-𝐂𝐒𝐂) participated in the First General Legislative Council (GLC) Assembly for Academic Year 2026–2027, held on October 13, 2026, at the Bicol Regional Food Innovation and Commercialization Center (BRFICC), Legazpi City. The assembly brought together student leaders and representatives from across Bicol University to discuss matters concerning student welfare, university development, and student governance.

Through this gathering, BUCE-CSC officers joined fellow student leaders in a shared commitment to strengthen representation and contribute to meaningful university-wide initiatives. Representing the College of Education are President 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐱 𝐀. 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐬, and our four representatives: 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐲 𝐌. 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧, 𝐃𝐢𝐞𝐠𝐨 𝐒𝐚𝐳𝐮𝐤𝐢𝐞 𝐁. 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐚, 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐌. 𝐎𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡 𝐂. 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐉𝐫. The session featured discussions on the University Student Council’s financial standing, proposed resolutions, privilege speeches, sustainable university practices, and improvements to student services.

For BUCE-CSC, participation in the assembly serves as an opportunity to bring forward the interests and concerns of CEnians while engaging in discussions that shape the university’s student community. With a commitment to responsible leadership, active participation, and genuine service, BUCE-CSC continues to uphold its role in representing the voices of Education students and advancing initiatives that foster a more responsive and inclusive university community.

To be a representative of the College Student Council is to carry more than a title; it is to carry the voices, grievances, and be the representation of hundreds of students within the college and ensure that their concerns are heard where decisions are made. Kung ang administrasyon ng Pamantasan ng Bikol ay nakagapos ang tagumpay sa banyagang koneksyon — sila ay maituturing na bulag, pipi't bingi sa bawat iyak at palahaw ng mga taong patuloy na niyuyurakan ng bansang Israel. 𝗦𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗯𝗮 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗽𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗴 “𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗻”?

Ilang dekada ng pakikibaka para sa “banal na lupang ipinangako” hanggang sa dahas ang naging sagot sa hindi matapos-tapos na diskusyon; ang resulta ay pagdanak ng dugo mula ilog hanggang sa dagat ng Palestina. Simula noon ay patuloy nang niyuyurakan ng bansang Israel ang karapatang pantao ng mga Palestino, at ngayon, libo-libong buhay na ang nasawi. Ngunit ang isang bansang gahaman sa kapangyarihan ay walang kinikilingan, kahit pa mayroong mga usaping pangkapayapaan sa pagitan ng dalawang bansa. Ang pangyayaring ito ay hindi na lamang usapin ng kalupaan, ngunit isa na itong klaradong pagpapakita ng kawalang-respeto sa karapatang pantao.

Tuwiran at mariing ipinapahayag ng samahan ng mga organisasyon sa Pamantasan ng Bikol ang aming pagkadismaya at pagkondena hinggil sa naganap na taos-pusong pagtanggap ng administrasyon ng Pamantasan ng Bikol sa Ambassador ng Israel sa Pilipinas sa pagbisita ng paggalang o “courtesy visit” sa BU International Relations Office noong ika-6 ng Oktubre taong 2026, tungkol sa posibilidad ng pagkakaroon ng “partnership” at mga programa sa pamantasan.

𝗔𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗸𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮 para mas mapalawak at para sa posibilidad ng pagpapaunlad ng mga programa ng pamantasan. 𝗡𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝘆 𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁-𝗱𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹, 𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗼 𝗻𝗮 𝗸𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗯𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗺 𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗶𝗹 𝘀𝗮 𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗻𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗮 𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻.

Kolektibo at buong tibay-loob na ipinapahayag ng mga organisasyon ng Pamantasan ng Bikol ang mariing pagtutol sa naging aksiyon, gayundin sa anumang hakbang na isasagawa pa ng administrasyon ng pamantasan na may kaugnayan sa Israel. ‎Sa loob ng ilang dekadang henosidyo, hindi kami magbubulag-bulagan sa isyung mariing inaapakan ang karapatan ng sangkatauhan. 𝗦𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗸 𝘀𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗽 𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘆 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗸𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗮 𝗸𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴-𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻. Kapag may buhay na winawasak, tahanang nilulunod sa takot, at kinabukasang inaagaw sa isang buong sambayanan, ang pagtalikod ay isa ring anyo ng pakikiayon sa kawalang-katarungan.

Habang patuloy na tumatanggi ang administrasyon na kilalanin ang bigat at katotohanan ng usaping ito, kaming mga mag-aaral ay hinding-hindi mananahimik. Ang katotohanan ay nakapaskil na sa buong mundo, mga artikulo, pahayag, estadistika, at mga katotohanan na kay tagal nang nakalantad. Ang patuloy na paggigiit ng administrasyon sa aksyong ito ay hindi lamang nagdulot ng pagkabigo sa mga organisasyon, kundi maging sa buong samahan ng mga mag-aaral.

Ipinaglalaban namin ang kalayaan ng Gaza, Palestina mula sa walang katapusang trahedya na kanilang kinakaharap na nagsimula ilang dekada na ang nakakaraan. Humigit-kumulang 80,000 katao na ang namatay sa kamay ng mga Israelita, at hanggang ngayon, habang may kalayaan tayong tanggapin ang mga mapang-aping ito sa ating pamantasan, dapat din nating isaalang-alang ang mga mamamayan ng Gaza na walang kakayahang magsalita at magpalayas sa mga dayuhan sa kanilang lupain.

‎𝗛𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗸𝗮𝗺𝗶 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗸. 𝗛𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗸𝗮𝗺𝗶 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗽𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗸𝗶𝘁-𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗮.

‎Hindi namin hahayaang maging normal ang pagyakap sa mga ugnayang kumakalinga sa kapangyarihan habang ipinagwawalang-bahala ang pagdurusa ng mga inaapi. Hindi dapat maging bukas ang pinto sa anumang ugnayang kumukubli sa ganitong mga usapin. 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗮 𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗴 𝗻𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱 𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝗼. Sapagkat sa gitna ng karimlan, ang pagkilala sa mali ay hindi sapat—kinakailangan ang tapang na magsalita, manindigan, at kumilos para sa makatarungan at makataong mundo.
