SHG and CLA WOMEN’S MONTH CELEBRATION IN BATO, CATANDUANES

The Women Self-Help Groups and the Registered Cluster Level Associations in Bato, Catanduanes contributed in improving food security and nutrition awareness in the community. During the celebration of NWM 2025, SHG families and the Barangay Children’s Organization spearhead the land preparation and distribution of seeds. This activity is part of their local nutrition education initiatives which will directly impacts child nutrition.

The GC26 is also part of their major advocacy. This emphasizes that children have a right to live in a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment. It clarifies the duty bearer’s obligations to address environmental harm and climate change. SHG, CLA and BCO lobbied the importance of considering children's views in environmental decision-making processes and the critical role of environmental education in preparing children to take action against environmental harm.

The photos showed the celebration of Women’s Month in barangay Binanuahan, Guinobatan, Sipi, San Roque and Bote of Bato, Catanduanes.
