DAO Educational Foundation Scholars would like to honor the life of Auntie Sally Escutin Yap, offering prayers and expressing their heartfelt gratitude for her unwavering support, guidance, and kindness.

Throughout the years, she quietly stood by the scholars, attending every event and celebrating their achievements. This was a heartfelt tribute to a woman whose presence touched so many lives, and whose legacy of care and dedication will always be remembered. Rest in peace, Auntie Sally 🕊️.

Last March 1, 2026, the DAO Educational Foundation proudly celebrated its 21st Founding Anniversary with the exciting theme “Pautakan, Pabilisan at Pabonggahan.” 🧠⚡🎭 The scholars were divided into four vibrant teams—Team Makopa 🍎, Team Mango 🥭, Team Ube 💜, and Team Avocado 🥑—bringing energy, teamwork, and friendly competition throughout the celebration.

For the competitions, Team Mango 🥭 emerged as the champion in Pautakan 🧠. In Pabilisan ⚡, we had a tie between Team Mango 🥭 and Team Ube 💜, both showcasing impressive speed and teamwork. Meanwhile, Team Makopa 🍎 won Pabonggahan 🎭 with their creativity and outstanding performance. With their consistent performance throughout the activities, Team Mango 🥭 proudly took home the title of Overall Champion 🏆🎉.

Special thanks to our alumni facilitators Sir Michael Elicana 👏, Ma’am Christine Onilan 🌟, and Ma’am Zyra Alvares 💫 for organizing and facilitating the event, making it fun, engaging, and memorable for the scholars.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ante Corrie Escutin Yap (Operations Officer) 🤝, Amalia Magbanua 🌼, and Mary Jean Palomo 🌸 for visiting and spending time with the scholars during this special celebration.

Above all, we sincerely thank Doc Rodolfo Escutin, MD 👨‍⚕️, the Executive Director and Founder of the DAO Educational Foundation, for his unwavering support and dedication to the mission of uplifting and guiding scholars through education. 📚✨

LAPIS AT PAG-ASA: TUTORIAL SESSION

In celebration of Youth Month, we spent three meaningful days igniting young minds and nurturing bright futures through Lapis at Pag-asa. With pencils in hand and hope in every lesson, we guided children through the basics of reading, writing, simple mathematics, history, and arts — because every great dream begins with the courage to learn.

This initiative is more than just a tutorial — it is a testament to what unity and compassion can achieve. Through the collaboration of Sangguniang Kabataan Balucuan, headed by SK Chairman Hon. Jielo Bauson Artuz, and the Dao Educational Foundation, we proved that when the youth lead with purpose, the community rises with them.

To the little learners who showed up with eagerness, to the Dao Educational Foundation scholars, who shared their time and hearts, and to everyone who believed in the power of education — madamo nga salamat. Each stroke of a pencil today draws the blueprint of a brighter tomorrow.

Together, we build futures worth believing in.
