The CTUโDanao ROTC Unit held its first Military Instruction starting with a preliminaries at the CTUโDanao Oval where all ROTC cadets gathered to prepare for the days activities.
After the preliminaries the cadets went to the Kadasig Gym for the lecture session. PVT Sharmila Garcia PA (RES) discussed the "Course Orientation" and introduced the different officer positions, starting from the Corps Commander down to the other officers, helping cadets understand the Chain of Command within the ROTC Unit.
PVT Klenth Joseph C Ventic PA (RES) and PVT Kyla Jean B Monares PA (RES) discussed the "Military Courtesy and Discipline (MCD)", its emphasizing the importance of respect, proper conduct, discipline, and professionalism in military training.
After the lecture, Platoon Leaders introduced the military commands and their proper ex*****on, including Hand Salute, Facing Movements, and other basic commands. Through that demonstration and hands on practice, the cadets learned the importance of discipline, coordination, teamwork, and the proper military bearing.
The 1st Military Instruction helped cadets build confidence, and develop discipline with the guidance of the GMAs and TACTICAL NCOs as they continue their ROTC journey.
Discipline starts with the basics. Leadership grows through practice.
