The Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) โ€“ Manlayag Chapter, together with its dedicated officers, successfully carried out a Clean-Up Drive in Manlayag Patag, with the valued participation of Brgy. Councilor Judylin Arenas. Through teamwork and shared purpose, todayโ€™s effort turned simple actions into meaningful impact, proving that when the youth lead, positive change follows.

As we move forward, this serves as a gentle but firm reminder to all residents and travelers: proper waste disposal is not optional, it is a responsibility. The beauty of our surroundings depends not only on organized efforts like this, but on the everyday choices we make. A piece of trash left behind speaks volumes; so does the decision to dispose of it properly.

Manlayag Nutrition Month Celebration 2025

Theme: "Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat!"

1. Participants

โ€ขEach purok must send one (1) team composed of two (2) members to join the contest.
โ€ขBoth participants must be residents of the purok they represent.

2. UTAN BISAYA DISH

โ€ขContestants must prepare UTAN BISAYA
โ€ขIngredients should be budget-friendly, locally available, and nutrient-rich.
โ€ขUse of processed or unhealthy food items is discouraged.

3. Time Allotment

Each team will be given:
โ€ข15 minutes for preparation (mise en place)
โ€ข45 minutes to 1 hour for actual cooking
โ€ข5 minutes to present and explain the dish

4. Cooking Equipment and Ingredients

โ€ขParticipants must bring their own ingredients, cooking equipment, and any special tools they may need.
โ€ขIngredients must be pre-cleaned but not pre-cooked.

5. Judging Criteria

Nutritional Value โ€“ 30%
Taste and Palatability โ€“ 25%
Creativity and Presentation โ€“ 20%
Cost-effectiveness โ€“ 15%
Explanation and Relevance to Theme โ€“ 10%

6. Other Guidelines

โ€ขContestants must maintain cleanliness and proper hygiene during preparation and cooking.
โ€ขAll dishes must be presented in a clean, simple, and appealing manner.

Barangay Manlayag โ€“ Nutrition Month Celebration 2025

Theme: โ€œSa PPan sama sama sa nutrisyong sapat para sa lahatโ€

๐Ÿ‘ค 1. Participants:

โ€ขOpen to all ages residing in Barangay Manlayag.

โ€ขLimited to one (1) representative per purok.

๐Ÿ‘— 2. Costume Design:

โ€ขEach contestant must wear a mascot costume representing healthy food (e.g., fruits, vegetables, or local nutritious dishes).

โ€ขCostumes must be homemade or DIY using recycled, eco-friendly, or indigenous materials.

โ€ขUse of sharp, dangerous, or offensive props is strictly prohibited.

โ€ขEach participant will walk on stage and showcase their Nutri Mascot costume.
