On April 18, 2026, we conducted the second round of physically selling the GSP Cookie Promise and was sold out in just 3 hours—a total of 𝟲𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀!

The Sidlak Danao Girl Scouts: Community-based Troop would like to again extend its heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the overwhelming support, love, and help you have shown to the troop over the course of its S.E.E.D. Project implementation. You did not just help the troop raise funds, but you also strengthened the efforts and initiative of the GSP to the call of Sustainable Development Goal No. 2 (Zero Hunger) and empowered the troop in fulfilling the Challenge of Economic Self-Sufficiency. 💚

Batch 2 is finally here! In line with our 𝗦.𝗘.𝗘.𝗗. (𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁) 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, the Sidlak Danao Girl Scouts: Community-based Troop will be selling the GSP Cookie Promise for only 𝗣𝗛𝗣 𝟭𝟱.𝟬𝟬 PER pack!

Every purchase you make, you are helping the troop raise funds for its future activities while instilling a sense of responsibility in the Girl Scouts under the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗦𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆. The primary goal of the GSP S.E.E.D. Project also includes equipping the Girl Scouts with entrepreneurial mindsets that promote resourcefulness and self-reliance and developing their project management skills and financial literacy. 💚

The project is also anchored with 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹 (𝗦𝗗𝗚) 𝗡𝗼. 𝟮—𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿, which is the response of the GSP toward creating a world that is free from hunger and promoting improved nutrition. 🚫

𝗚𝗦𝗣 𝗖𝗘𝗕𝗨 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗟 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 ⛺💚

On January 30 to February 1, 2026, the Sidlak Danao Girl Scouts: Community-based Troop proudly joined the GSP Cebu Council Senior and Cadet Camp 2026 at Camp Marina–YVRPTC. With the theme, "Once a Girl Scout, Always a Girl Scout," over 900 Girl Scout participants ignited their shared commitment to community service, sisterhood, and girl-powered leadership guided by purpose.

The troop was represented by Cadet GS Gwyneth Nuñez and Cadet GS Shawncare Roble as camp participants, together with the other school-based troops comprising the Danao City Delegation; while Cadet GS Noella Jordan, Cadet GS Abigail Bulalagje, Cadet GS Jairose Mangaron, and Cadet GS Mary Stella Plaza served as Program Aides during the camp. We would also like to thank Tita Cleziel Gonzales for her unwavering love and support for the troop and the entire Danao City Delegation. ☘

Apart from the sub-camp awards, the Danao City Delegation also won 1st Place for the Campfire Presentation and bagged the Best in Costume and Props award as they showcased the vibrant dancing celebration of Danao City, the Karansa Festival. 🏆

𝟭𝟬𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘆! 🌏🍀

Today marks the 100th anniversary of the World Thinking Day commemoration, where Girl Scouts and Girl Guides all over the world are celebrating the global friendship and genuine sisterhood that we have strengthened throughout the years. It is truly a significant milestone for the scouting community, honoring the efforts and legacy left by the great founders of scouting and guiding, Robert Baden-Powell and Lady Olave St. Clair Baden-Powell.

With this year's theme, "𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽," we are reminded of our shared goals for the movement and the world, regardless of our cultural, language, and geographical differences. It recognizes our deeper appreciation and commitment to guiding, leading, and advocating for a better and safer future. 🤝

As we move forward, may we continue to foster our global connections and think of how far we have come in the Girl Scouting and Girl Guiding movement.

We have a lot of things to be grateful for in the last year, as it brought many opportunities to the troop, allowing its members to unveil their fullest potential, reach more communities, and learn from remarkable people who share the same goals with the troop. [𝗪𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝟮] Brgy. Tuburan Sur | 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

On December 23, 2025, the Sidlak Danao Girl Scouts: Community-based Troop conducted the second wave of extending help to our fellow Danawanons who had been affected by the calamities that had occurred in the past few months. Through the generosity of our donors and sponsors, 102 packs of hygiene kits and approximately 400 pax of hot meals were primarily distributed to the children and families in Brgy. Tuburan Sur, Danao City. 🍵🧼

The troop would like to extend its sincerest gratitude to the people behind Operation Silong for their invaluable trust and monetary support, aiding us in strengthening our shared cause, and to Neil Eshaa Pasaol, Family, and Classmates, for wholeheartedly extending their compassion and monetary resources in these times of need, making it possible to secure the hygiene kits for the children and families in the said community beneficiary. We are deeply thankful for your generous hearts and selfless acts in helping others. 💌

We would also like to thank the Danao City PYAP Inc. - Tuburan Sur, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Council of Tuburan Sur, and the entire Tuburan Sur Barangay Council for assisting and accommodating us throughout the actual implementation of the activity. We are truly grateful for your help in every way. ☘️

From the bottom of our hearts, we sincerely appreciate the solidarity that was sustained during the implementation of our donation drive. Powered by unity, grit, and true scouting spirit, the Community-based Boy Scouts and the Sidlak Danao Girl Scouts: Community-based Troop once again conquered the annual Bisug Danao Tres 2025: Halad Kang Mano Amon Amazing Race 2025! The event honored the 120th birth anniversary of the late Father of the City, Mano Amon, and his enduring legacy. 💚🩷🩵💛

Our Champions:
✨ Sidlak Danao Girl Scouts: Cdt. GS Gwyneth Nuñez, Cdt. GS Zianca Rosalita, Cdt. GS Jamillah Ibrahim, Cdt. GS Shawncare Roble, and Cdt. GS Laiza Bravo.
✨ Community-based Boy Scouts: Sct. Ivan Anthony Perez, Sct. Rudge Niño Salutan, Sct. Joseph Dave Cañizares, Sct. Mhil Benedict Nacua, and Sct. John Kiven Kilat.

Additionally, Cadet Girl Scout Lynelle Canson served as one of the game facilitators during the race, ensuring the spirit of fair play and scouting values remained high!

Heat? Fought. 🔥 Challenges? Cleared. 🗣️ Pressure? Overcome by teamwork. 🏁 Scouting spirit? MAXED OUT. ⚜️ Play? 3 Games, 3 consecutive wins. 🏆

Through immense collaboration, the scouts held their ground and defended their title—securing a THREE-PEAT WIN against all odds! 🥇

The scouts are not done yet… So, what’s next? 👀✨ See you 4th win? Same time next year? 🕰️
