To our beloved brothers past, present, and future
Our fraternity has long stood as a symbol of unity, loyalty, and brotherhood. For generations, we have upheld traditions that shaped who we are, built deep bonds, and tested the strength of our commitment to one another.
But as every generation brings new understanding, so too must our traditions evolve. Today, we affirm a pivotal step forward: we are formally ending hazing as part of our initiation practices.
This decision does not reflect weakness, nor does it reject the values of discipline, resilience, or loyalty that our predecessors upheld. Rather, it reflects growth a recognition that true brotherhood is not proven through pain, but through respect, integrity, and mutual support.
We honor the path that brought us here, and we acknowledge those who believed in traditions forged in a different time. But leadership demands courage, and we believe that protecting the dignity and safety of our future brothers is the highest form of loyalty we can offer.
Our fraternity will continue to thrive not by clinging to harmful customs, but by building a future where every member can stand proud of the way he was welcomed into the brotherhood.
Tradition is not broken when it changes for the better. It is strengthened.
Let this be our legacy: that we dared to evolve, and in doing so, preserved the true spirit of our brotherhood.
It is sad. When a brotherhood turns against itself over change, deep pain!
