The activity, with the active participation of Senior High School Grade 12 students ๐Ÿ’™, promoted awareness on adolescent health, encouraged open conversations, and empowered students to make responsible and informed decisions ๐ŸŒฑ

The DAAHCS Executive Officers recently had a highly productive and insightful meeting with ๐Œ๐š๐ฒ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐ง "๐๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ข๐ž" ๐๐ž๐ฅ๐œ๐ข๐งฬƒ๐š ๐“๐š๐ฆ๐›๐ข๐ฌ, who was accompanied by our esteemed consultant and adviser, ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐•๐ข๐œ๐ž ๐Œ๐š๐ฒ๐จ๐ซ ๐‚๐จ๐œ๐š ๐๐ข๐œ๐จ๐ก๐ฅ ๐Ž๐ฌ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐จ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ž.

During the meeting, we had the honor of presenting a comprehensive overview of our organization and highlighting the initiatives we've undertaken to strengthen adolescent health, youth empowerment, and community development. We are deeply grateful for the Mayor's inspiring and encouraging reception and support including her commitment to helping us realize on the establishment of our TEEN CENTER and implement our grassroot initiatives. We are excited to get back to our core grassroots initiatives and look forward to strengthening our programs through the establishment of new policies and partnerships.

Look: On March 7, 2024 (Friday), after some time of pause, we are finally back on track with the second High school-based Heart to H.E.A.R.T. Talk at Casay National High School!

In partnership with Barangay Casay Council, represented by Hon. Johann Abigail Portigo, and the school, headed by Mr. Roy Pintor, we engaged over 650 students in meaningful discussions on adolescent health and well-being. Huge thanks to our amazing DAAHCS Peer Educators and Facilitators for making this possible!

This is just the beginningโ€”together, we can empower the youth to make informed choices and lead healthier lives!

PART 2| Ladderized Peer Education Training: Level 4 - Interpersonal Communication Skills - Batch 1 and 2 DAAHCS Peer Educators

As the 14 Batch 2 Peer Educators receive their Certificates for completing the LPET Program, the Batch 1 was also awarded the Official Advocacy IDs which will be worn during our community immersions and engagements.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the LGU-Dalaguete, led by the visionary Mayor Honorable Ronald Allan G. Cesante, for their unwavering support and trust in our organization. We also express our deepest appreciation to the Municipal Health Office, particularly Maam Riche De Guzman, for her instrumental role in securing funding and support for this program.

A special thanks to our dedicated training facilitators, Kuya Carl Dave Black Ang, Miss Nicole Tacandong, Kuya Adam Lester Patajo, and Kuya Roman Cisneros Jr., for their invaluable guidance and mentorship throughout this journey.

These newly graduated peer educators will now join our existing team of dedicated volunteers, immersing themselves in the grassroots community to promote adolescent health and development. Together, we are truly empowered to empower!

PART 1 | Ladderized Peer Education Training: Level 4 - Interpersonal Communication Skills - Graduation of BATCH 2

Today marks a momentous occasion as we celebrate the graduation of Batch 2 of our Ladderized Peer Education Training program. This rigorous four-level program has equipped these 14 dedicated individuals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become effective peer educators.

This program, which began with over 20 aspiring peer educators, has empowered these individuals to become agents of positive change within their communities. They are now ready to take their place on the front lines of our advocacy, working to create safe spaces and inclusive learning experiences for youth in Dalaguete.

Today, we successfully implemented the first school-based Heart to H.E.A.R.T. Talk at Caliongan National High School. This collaboration between the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Caliongan, led by Hon. Warren Ramos, and Caliongan National High School, headed by Principal Mrs. Divina Michelle B. Albos, has been a significant milestone in our mission to promote adolescent health and well-being.

Over 300 enthusiastic students engaged with our DAAHCS Peer Educators and Facilitators, including Roman Cisneros Jr., Pearl Jiff Amacna, Gian Gesim, Noel Jr. Quijano, Sophia Ysabelle Gayo, Johann Portigo, Remidios Gerezon, Lovella Mae Gamboa, Lieca Villa, Daniella Sefuentes, and Percy. Through interactive sessions and informative discussions, we were able to address crucial issues related to adolescent health and development.

We are especially grateful to Hon. Coca Nicohl Osorio-Bustamante for sharing valuable insights on mental health. Her insightful talk provided students with essential tools to manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges.

We believe that this successful partnership is just the beginning of a brighter future for our youth. By working together, we can empower young people to make informed decisions, lead healthy lives, and reach their full potential.
