In honor of 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 this September, the 𝗦𝘁. 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗦 𝗥𝗖𝗬), together with the 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝘂𝘅𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗦𝗔𝗖), 𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗦 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 (𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗦 𝗖𝗬𝗠), 𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗦 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯, 𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗦 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯, and 𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗦 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 officially carried out the mental health awareness initiative, “𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲.” 💜🩵

As part of the initiative, SAGS RCY officers, alongside the participating organizations, prepared and distributed envelopes containing a 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱, 𝗮 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗯𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗕𝗮𝗿 to students across the school. Each envelope served as a small gesture of care and solidarity in recognition of Su***de Prevention Month.

Beyond simply raising awareness, “Postcards of Hope” hopes to encourage 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 to remember that 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. Reaching out, speaking about what we feel, and allowing others to support us are all important steps toward taking care of ourselves and one another.

The initiative also extended its message of care to our 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹, who were likewise given envelopes as a reminder that support is available to them, too. In creating a community that values mental health, we recognize that care should not be limited to students—it should extend to everyone who helps make our school a place of learning, growth, and belonging.

𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗦𝗨𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗛 | 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥. 🩵💜

As our campaign for the World Su***de Prevention Month Ends, the 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗥𝗖𝗬𝗖), reminds everyone that su***de prevention is more than a yearly post. It is about 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀, 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱.

Struggling does not always have a visible face. Sometimes, the most meaningful thing we can do is 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝘁, 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻, 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱. Prevention begins long before a crisis happens, through the relationships, communities, and support systems we build every day.

Let’s break the stigma, start the conversation, and remind one another that asking for help is never a weakness. You do not have to face difficult moments alone. 🫂

The SAGS RCYC is an independent, non-stock, non-profit, non-partisan, and non-sectarian volunteer organization, serving as the foremost humanitarian youth network of SAGS. Guided by the principle of “𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁, 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱,” we place human needs at the heart of our service—extending universal care while giving priority to the most vulnerable.

Our work is rooted in proactive action without taking sides, responding to human need rather than political authority, serving the cause rather than profit, bringing together diverse voices toward one collective goal, and respecting communities and nations while embracing humanitarian service without boundaries.

Through our volunteers, the SAGS RCYC provides and supports programs such as:

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗨𝗧, 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗬 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘! ☀️🏖️

As we enjoy our much awaited Day-out, let’s make sure that fun comes with safety and preparation.

The 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (RCYC) reminds everyone to stay mindful of their surroundings, take precautions against heat, and immediately seek help from an immediate supervisor when needed. Additionally, the council reminds everyone to have discretion and bring their own hygienic and over the counter necessities.

A fun day is always better when everyone gets home safe and sound. 𝗘𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆, 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱! ⛱️

The 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗽𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗻, together with the 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝘂𝘅𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗦𝗔𝗖), 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 (𝗗𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿), and 𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗦 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝘀 (𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆) came together for an outreach program centered on service, health, and community care.

As part of the activity, essential supplies were prepared and distributed, including 51 𝘀𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝘀𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗹𝗼𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗹. The team also shared warm sopas with students, elderly individuals, and personnel as a simple gesture of care and comfort. 🍲✨

The outreach also emphasized the importance of health and prevention. Two of the 𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗦 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 officers 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗹𝘂 and 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗵𝘆𝗴𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗲.

Additionally, the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 (𝗗𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿) set up a Welfare Desk and First Aid Area to provide assistance and promote preparedness and safety throughout the activity.

Through every shared meal, essential supply, and lesson in health, we are reminded that service is not only about giving—it is about showing others that they are cared for. 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆. ❤️🤍

This World Su***de Prevention Day, the 𝗦𝘁. 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 joins this global call to promote mental health awareness, compassion, and hope.

As members of a community built on service and care, let us remember that small acts of kindness and understanding can create a lasting impact. By reaching out, listening, and offering support, we can help create a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Together, let us continue to promote a culture of compassion where no one has to face their struggles alone.

Through small actions, we can help create a safer and more supportive community. Here are some ways we can reach out and be there for one another:

•𝗔𝗦𝗞: A simple act of 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 can make a profound difference. Your presence matters, and being there for someone during their tough times can already make a significant impact.

•𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗖𝗧: 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲. If you or someone you know needs assistance, please seek help or encourage them to reach out to trusted adults, mental health professionals, or helplines.

- 𝗚𝗟𝗢𝗕𝗘 : +63 917-899-8727 (USAP)

•𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗡: 𝗟𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝗿 during a conversation is one way to let people talk about what they are going through. Listening without judgment or interruption can help people feel seen and heard. It may seem like a small act to you, but it can mean so much to someone else.

•𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧: When you or someone you know is quietly fighting a battle that no one else knows about, remind them that 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲. Our feelings are valid—they are part of what makes us human. You deserve love, support, and a life where you feel safe in your own mind.

At the end of the day, we are all fighting battles that others may not know about. Remember that a smile on someone’s face does not always mean that everything is okay.
